No wonder Hayley is looking worried on the fourth one though -she has just bent the crossbar !

Thanks for the great photos.
Denise and her mother have had a day in London today. It was arranged long ago as a shopping expedition. I mentioned this event was taking place and where it would be held but I am afraid to say that the shopping was more attractive to them. I don't understand it!

Soprano Hayley Westenra is a patron of the Women's Environmental Network.

Classical music singer Westenra, who sells millions of albums worldwide, stumbled across the Women's Environmental Network by chance when she was surfing the internet. She offered to use her public profile to raise awareness of the charity.

In an interview the New Zealander gave to WENnews, the charity's newsletter for members, she said: 'I'm not always that perfect in what I do, but I think it's a matter of doing whatever you can as an individual, as well as knowing and living by the principle that every bit helps.'

Westenra is the charity's first celebrity supporter. 'We hadn't sought out celebrity support, partly because we're not that keen on the cult of celebrity and partly because we weren't sure we had the capacity to provide the level of support that some celebrities need,' says a spokeswoman. 'But Hayley seems to be the genuine article - very natural, passionate about the issues and committed to helping the charity attract new members and donations.'
