Not long before Hayley released Pure, Charlotte Church had performed In Trutina - and honestly, I have never considered Hayley's version a great innovation on Charlotte's version.

PS Please don't take this too seriously . Also, considering the theme of Orff's Carmina Burana, I doubt if teenagers should consider any song stemming from it as having special significance for them

Several of the forum members commented that at every "headline" show Hayley has done, she has performed this number. We found out the reason why recently when she introduced the song and said it was the first one that she ever recorded for Pure and it was the first time she had been in a studio with a full orchestra. For that reason it remains special to her. I can't remember if it's also mentioned in the book? (Help me out someone!)

It's on page 79 of the book.

I've just looked it up, because I couldn't remember myself why it was special to Hayley.


It was the only item on 'Pure' that Hayley recorded directly with an orchestra.

She seemed to believe that the challenge brought out the best in her!
