Hello Richard and everyone! Paradiso is again not in the Australian Top 50 this week - but I have now seen the Australian ARIA Report for the last few weeks (not including this week). Paradiso entered the Classical Chart on June 20 at no. 2 and remained there last week, at no. 2 (behind Russell Watson's La Voce). Paradiso did not enter the Top 100 Albums either last week or the week before, but it DID enter the "Top 100 physical albums" chart last week (i.e. ignoring downloads) at no. 81. So it looks like a similar situation to Japan charts-wise, a bit disappointing really but at least some people are buying it! I suspect that the problem may be that it was just too hard to get hold of in the shops, can anyone from Oz confirm this? Dave

Dave There were plenty of Paradiso CDs available in the stores I visited in Sydney on 10th June. No sign of any promotional posters and only those who knew of its release would have been likely to find it in the stores. Paddy

Thanks Paddy,
Looks like we have to accept then that, like Hayley's last few albums in Australia, Paradiso hasn't been very successful there. But even back in the Pure days, Hayley had well under 10% if her relative popularity in NZ, so no real surprise then, unfortunately.
The UK release is becoming increasingly important.
Cheers, Dave

I rang our local Sanity music store & offered to make them a poster but they have a policy of uniform style posters only so no go. A Paradiso poster certainly exists but was not aquired by any stores that I know of. Hayley's TV presence was quite noticeable however which was great to see !! Graeme

Hello folks! To get back on topic, I've tried to find the ARIA Classical Chart online, but it appears to be available by subscription only. Richard

Richard Hi Richard, If you open Pandora's Box all will (eventually) be revealed! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifUpdates are usually done every one or two months with the last on 30th June so last week's charts are the latest in there. Thanks Dave! It took quite a while, so I was about to take the money instead of opening the box. I eventually found the Classical Chart on page 21 of the pdf file. Richard

There's nothing very exciting in the UK Classical Artists Albums Chart this week (23 July 2011). 'The Very Best of Karl Jenkins' has dropped three places to No.9, while 'The Armed Man - A Mass For Peace' is a non-mover at No.25. www.theofficialcharts.com/classical-artists-albums-chart/Richard
