Haha, I'm getting so clever with thread names. So, what do your ears itch for? It is time folks....the time we have all been waiting for The time to start THINKING about a second solo CD. Now, I haven't even decided on songs, so it won't be out anytime soon, but I know you guys like this sort of stuff. What songs would you like to see included on the album? We had the 2nd CD discussion last night at the house...I want your input...because frankly, you are one's who buy and listen to it...not me. lol. I have some ideas...but ya.... you're up...what do you say? Ciao! God Bless Kristyn Barefoot Soprano

My ears only itch when I get an infection which leads to disgusting... nemmind. OK, gross-out humor aside, I for one would like to see the next CD be a mix of genres, rather than straight-up religious. Good choices would include "If I Loved You," possibly "Never Walk Alone," "Cockeyed Optimist" and "Bali H'ai" from Rodgers and Hammerstein, "Hello, Young Lovers" and "Shall we Dance" from The King and I, and possibly "Age of Not Believing," "Feed the Birds" and some other classic Disney pieces. From the religious repertory, I'd suggest any of the classical stuff, you are ready to move into a slightly heavier repertory, although you should stick to the more upbeat stuff like "I Know that My Redeemer Liveth." There are some hymns that would sound great for you as well, including the Welsh "Calon Lan," the American "This Is My Father's World," and the relatively unknown, but perfect "Beautiful Star of the East." The bottom line, Kristyn, is that your instrument sounds best on happy or uplifting pieces, so I'd stay away from the lamentations for now. Or maybe it's just that your personality always seems to be on that side. And give us another video when the weather gets warm enough to get out in the great outdoors again. hehe.
