Presented by Yahoo! Music Canada in association with ANR Lounge, CTV, Q104, and The Coast, JunoFest will feature over 100 local, regional and national artists - half of which will be from the Atlantic Region with the remainder drawn from 2006 JUNO Awards nominees and other acclaimed artists. JunoFest performers, representing a variety of musical genres, will showcase at 15 venues in the Halifax area on Friday, March 31 and Saturday, April 1 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. each night. Patrons must be 19 years of age or older. Artists will be announced weekly during the month of March. Confirmed JunoFest artists include many 2006 JUNO award nominees.
“JunoFest is an exciting chance for fans to get a closer look at the talented artists who make our country’s music scene so unique and vital,” said Melanie Berry, president of CARAS (Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) .
