Aselin Debison has been nominated for THREE awards at Canada's 2006 East Coast Music Awards...
*Female artist of the year
*Single of the year (Life)
*Pop recording of the year (Bigger Than Me)
The ECMA Gala Awards Show is broadcast live across Canada on Monday, February 27, 2006.

If it broadcast across Canada, do you have the ability to record it? Or maybe Allen? Who knows, we might be able tp present some video coverage!

Yea, I'm guessing it'll be shown on CBC. TV schedule is only available up to feb 26 so we won't know for at least few more days. ECMA is sort of a lessor known awards show in Canada (Junos is the big one) so normally it doesn't get that much coverage. But I'm in the westcoast so that could be why :wink:
I remember seeing the Cottars on ECMA few years back, it was definitely one of the better performances that year. I normally don't watch it so I'm not sure how they pick the performers for the show. Let's hope she'll be performing.

Hi Gerrit, No, I won't see the awards on TV. Too south of the border  But all of Canada will. The show will be on the CBC Monday, February 27th at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT) in all time zones. I don't know who is going to perform though. Joe |

I know that Aselin won't be performing, but she will be in attendance. It's quite possible that The Cottars will be there too.

Joe Hi all, Aselin Debison has a good shot at winning 'Single of the Year'. Also The Cottars do have the ECMA show on their performance page. So they might perform. Also Sarah McLachlan is to receive a special award. Allen, would you be able to record the ECMA's ? Like Gerrit said, it would be good to get some video coverage. |

Aselin didn't win any of the three East Coast Music Awards she was nominated for.

Matt Mays & El Torpedo's "Cocaine Cowgirl"
*Pop recording of the year was won by The Chucky Danger Band's CD "6-pack"
