I've just had a look at how Pure currently stands in the Official Charts of NZ and the UK, and I see that this week, some more milestones have been passed. Full details are below and as you can see, it keeps getting better; well done Hayley! NZ Official Album Chart- Pure has now been in the top 4 of the NZ pop album chart continuously for 6 months (from the August 3rd chart). - It is currently top of the chart for the 9th consecutive week and the 19th week in all. - 19 weeks is more than twice the previous record for "weeks at number one by a NZ artist". - Pure is 10x platinum with sales to the trade of 150,000 (this is one in ten NZ households). UK Official Album Charts- Pure has now been in the UK classical and pop charts continuously for 20 weeks. - It is currently top of the Classical Artist Chart for the 10th consecutive week and the 17th week in all. - It’s been top of the Classic FM Chart for 13 weeks in all. - It has never been below 2nd place in either of the UK classical charts. - Pure was the best selling classical album last year and is 2x platinum (sales now over 750,000). Worldwide sales are, of course, over one million as reported by the official website nearly a month ago. Chart information is from my analysis of published Official Charts. Details of the previous record for weeks at no. 1 by a NZ artist (it's less than 10) is from Universal NZ. Sales and awards information is from Hayley’s official website.

Pure in the UK is back up to number 1 in the new Official Classical *Artist* chart (Music Week). It's not quite there in the Classic FM chart (which includes compilations and film soundtracks) but this is the first sign of a bounceback by Pure since mid January. It has now been in the top 2 of the Classical Artist chart and top 3 of the Classic FM chart for 26 consecutive weeks, mostly at number 1. Last week, Pure hit its low point (number 112!!!) in the Pop chart after declining every week for 8 weeks so it's almost certainly bouncing back now. I noticed an advert for it at Peak viewing time on TV last night and with Hayley's UK tour about to start and a single in 2 weeks, I expect it to shoot back into the top 75 soon and maybe the top 40, either of which should get it back to number 1 in the Classic FM chart, too. *Edit - Pure shot up from 200-odd to number 69 on Amazon.co.uk today - the highest on there for months. If the sales figures given out by Decca in January were for retail sales, I estimate that total sales of Pure in the UK must be now at least 800,000. Sales in NZ (where it's STILL overall number 2) must be at least 150,000, in Japan and Australia at least 70,000 each. I can't find any sales figures for Singapore, Hong Kong or Ireland but say 70,000 between them would bring the worldwide total close to the 1.2 million reported by Decca not long ago (did I see a 1.3 million somewhere?). Things are obviously slow in the US because we only have pre-orders to go on. But at Amazon.com, its daily chart positions on the last 3 Sundays (since it was listed) have been 490,000 (!), 25,000 and yesterday, 14,990. So, heading in the right direction
