I have photos of The Cottars' performance on Saturday but am waiting for permission from the photographer. Then I'll post them here!

That photographer has kindly given me consent to show the pictures but he is in the process of color-correcting all of his pics and will re-upload the new ones in a few days. He enjoyed watching The Cottars perfrom and was very impressed by Roseanne's fiddle playing. Edit...color corrections are done...the pics are better than ever! Enjoy these pictures of The Cottars from Merlefest 2006...all photos are used by permission by Jacob Caudill. More pics on my Cottars forum Also view Jacob's other albums, where you can view many other pictures of just about anything!-> spinink.net/gallery/main.phpENJOY...Joe

Hello, I've come across an audio recording of The Cottars' recent appearance at Merlefest. However, the recording is of rather poor quality. The audio commences at 18 seconds, then skips very frequently throughout the whole of the forty-minute recording. Would some of you please give a quick listen and possibly come up with a solution as to how to get the recording to play properly. www.mvyradio.com/downloads/archives.php#C then scroll down to The Cottars Thanks for your assistance! Joe

Hi Joe,
Many thanks for the link to the Merlefest appearance. I have listened to it all and found no evidence of skipping. The overall sound quality isn't brilliant but it is perfectly acceptable and makes pleasant listening.
Is it my imagination, or are they really taking each song just a little slower than they do on their CDs?
Roger

One of the members of my forum experieced the same problem. They do play a little slower in their live shows. I bought one of Allister MacGillivray's books on eBay...turns out he himself was the seller! Take care, Joe
