Katherine's third CD, to be entitled "Living A Dream" will be released on October 31st, better than tricks and treats any day. It will be a little lighter than her second, containing songs like "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Music of the Night" in addition to operatic pieces and the Welsh "St David of the White Rock," another Welsh track I'm sorry a certain other singer didn't get around to. Most unusually, she's having "I Will Always Love You" translated into Italian and arranged for orchestra. Hmm, that alone will probably be worth the price.

I know what you mean steve . I would love to hear that . And she is one of my fav female singers. I think her over the rainbow could be good. She is also having 'All Things Bright and Beautiful' , 'I vow to thee my Country','Torna a Surriento' , and 'Cinema Paradiso', I think it would be a very good cd. She is having about four orpea arias on it but she also has light stuff on it.

Hi Natasha, I would recommend either of Katherine's first two albums, both of which I am sure you would enjoy. Or, as you suggest, you can wait for the third. I will undoubtedly buy it to keep my KJ collection complete. Roger

Living A Dream - Special Edition
We are pleased to announce that there will also be a ‘Living A Dream’ Special Edition on sale on 31st October. This exclusive album will contain all of the tracks on the standard album plus 2 BONUS TRACKS: ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ and ‘Miracolo’, a duet with the sensational new Italian singer, Vittorio. A calendar booklet (so that you can look at Katherine all year round!) and 4 postcards of previously unavailable pictures of Katherine will also be included in this very special edition. Don’t miss out, order it now!
I think that this cd would be a good start to get into here as that it has a good mix of songs on it. And it has cd song that anyone can enjoy.

Hi Natasha and Kimberly, That does indeed sound like a good place to start. Somehow, I can't imagine Katherine singing 'Don't Cry for Me, Argentina' but I hope I get to hear it one day. It could be good. BTW. Here's a little pic of Katherine that I took during Hayley's Pure Tour in March 2004. Roger

Can't wait to hear the new CD. Too bad I won't be getting the special edition. I think Katherine's version of "Don't Cry For Me..." would be very grand, as if Evita were standing on that balcony and talking to the immense crowds of people below.
I love the cover picture too. It's got great colours and is very attention-grabbing; and it has an 'opera' air to it.

No offense to Katherine, but does she not realize that Nessun Dorma is meant to be sung by a MAN? Same goes with O Sole Mio.

Sarah Brightman did Nessun Dorma and her version was fantastic. I expect Katherines will be even better.

No offense to Katherine, but does she not realize that Nessun Dorma is meant to be sung by a MAN? Same goes with O Sole Mio. So is Caruso. What difference does it make? She's got the vocal power and emotional capability to pull them off (and in my opinion, better than most male singers).

The same goes with those songs. There are lyrics in there that are very male orientated, sounds a bit dodgy to me. In any case though, I must respectfully disagree, Katherine does not have the vocal to pull off those songs, or any song that I've heard her sing so far.

"Caro Mio Ben" the song basically every young soprano sings is SUPPOUSED to be sung by a male.
I think some songs can be done by both. And I must also respectuflly disagree with you Portia, for me Katherine has enough vocal to pull off all her songs very well.

And I must also respectuflly disagree with you Portia, for me Katherine has enough vocal to pull off all her songs very well. But the song's content androgynous enough to be sung by a female, just like some Lear and Hamlet monologues are androgynous to be done by both sexist. (Or at least, I think so. I never sang Caro Mio Ben) I must then say we either let our back hair down and scratch our eyes out or we can agree to disagree. The first suggestion is a joke. I just say, let's agree to disagree. I personally feel like Katherine's putting all the pressure in her chest and using no head voice what soever. In fact, its a wonder to me that she can get through her songs. It'll be rather interesting and perhaps excruciating to hear her attempt Un Bel Di, only one of my favorite arias, as well as Ebben, which I worked my tail off for for a couple long months last year.
