I'm intrigued to know how come you are watching Dr Who in Califirnia with subtitles!
Hi Grant and Meldy,
At the start of nearly every program on BBC America, a voice comes on and says to implement the closed-captioning (teletext)...because of the English accent. One reason is that if Americans didn't chuck loads of tea into Boston Harbor, we might understand the accent more!
Of course, I thank Benny Hill for my introduction to the accent at an early age.
Meldy, kitty must like the closed-captioning boxes running up the screen ! That's a cute photo of kitty and your shoe...or maybe a disguised dalek !
Oh the closed-captioning is because it was late at night and I didn't want to have the t.v. volume up loud Didn't want to wake up anybody or then I wouldn't just have an angry cat I'd have an angry family :oWhen I was much younger I would use subtitles and everything because I would get confused sometimes with the English accent but not anymore thanks to having friends with English accents and watching British shows i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif The kitty is probably amazed at the closed-captioning....or he has a crush on Rose.....I won't tell him that she's not in the new episodes
