I know this is a very hard question, but I'm just too curious not to ask. And on the other hand, I myself don't know how to answer that either.
The question is (I hope no one else has asked this before), if I had ALL of Hayley's albums (that includes every version of the same title), then how many copies would I actually have?
Just now I did some little calculation, and there should be at least 35 I think. But I hope to have a more exact number.
This question is indeed a bit too tough (and too stupid maybe) but I'm just interested to know. So, would you guys mind doing a bit of counting and tell me? Thanks.

Hi tinmeigut,
I doubt if anyone knows the exact answer to your question, and that probably includes Hayley. All I can tell you is that I have 7 copies of Pure, 6 of Odyssey and 3 of Treasure/Celtic Treasue but I know there are more of each of them. Then there are the two early NZ issues (HW and MGTY) and numerous compilations (if they count).
I suspect that your estimate of 35 is probably not far wrong but I doubt if we will ever know for sure.

According to my Odyssey, Pure, and Treasure Charts:
Pure: 16
Odyssey: 11
Treasure: 9
now let me chek my counting (got Pure wrong! I thought it was 10, not 16!)

and Odyssey is... WRONG!!! It's not 6 but 11!!

So it makes 40 plus CDs if the collection is complete. That's really an impossible job.

Hello everyone
Up until a few days ago, if anyone had asked me, I would have said that I had 40 to 50 Hayley CD's. Well, at the beginning of the week, I had electricians in and decided to secrete anything of value (primarily my Hayley CD collection) out of harms way.
Now, with the electricians gone and my home back to normal, it seemed an appropriate time to sort out and update the catalogue of my collection. I found the result quite surprising.
Here is a summary:
Pure.................11 + 15 promo's = 26
Odyssey.........10 + 14 promo's = 24
Treasure...........7 + ..6 promo's = 13
Japanese..........................................8
Everything Else..............................9
A grand total of 80!!
Of which 45 are official releases. Of course this total includes mini albums and compilations and soundtracks which may only include one or two tracks featuring Hayley, but I have only got a few of those and, of course, I don't yet have every version of every album. Nor have I included download versions as I don't collect those.
My guess, taking the above into account, at answering Tins question would be to suggest that the number would be well in excess of 50, perhaps closer to 60!!

On several occasions, members have given Hayley CD's to sign (usually promo's) and she has responded with "I've not seen that one before" or words to that effect. I suspect she's got copies of major releases and some promo's, but not a lot else. On reflection though, if you spent your life singing, would you collect your own CD's? Don't think I would. I'd want a copy of everything, including photographs!  In all seriousness, I'd want them for sentimental reasons. Decades from now, they'll be more like photographs than just discs of music; they'll be tangible reminders of the international success she achieved at such a young age. (Although, I suppose she has plenty of awards to remind her of that!)  |
