When was she ever something like Sarah Brightman?! Lol! Sissel, yes. I think Hayley is in a league of her own. I mean, I can state some singers who have relatively the same pitch as Hayley, and don't use much vibrato, but they still, vocally, are very different from Hayley. I think Sissel is the closest singer to compare Hayley too. Sarah's voice is no where near as sweet as Hayley's, and their material are even more far apart. Actually, Sarah's voice can be quite grating and her tone is darker and imperfect. It still baffles me when the media compare her to Charlotte Church - they sound nothing a like! Their vocal techniques are completely different. Also, Charlotte was an attemtped operatic singer, Hayley isn't at all operatic.

... I think Sissel is the closest singer to compare Hayley too. Yes yes, and I see Hayley as possibly sounding even more like Sissel in ten years time than she does now... but not the same, of course. I could live with that as I absolutely love the sound of Sissel's voice on certain material. On those songs that they've both done, it is sometimes quite hard for me to say which version I prefer! Only Sissel gives me this problem! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave

For me it was a choice between Pure and Treasure because I love them both enormously but in the end I voted Treasure because it's an exciting album for multiples reasons and the richness and maturity of Hayley's voice is simply incredible.

Hi Folks I have the five listed albums, I voted for Pure though,
I did a quick calculation on how many times I have listened to it and reckon it's over 300,
Another 300 and then it might be fair to say " I really like this album" I don't understand how some can "REVIEW" an album after a couple of listens, I still don't feel ready to review PURE never mind Treasure which I have heard maybe 60 times so far.
PURE is more happy and joyful and thats why it got the "BEST" vote I do love the other four albums too and it was a difficult choice.

I am struggling to choose Treasure. But Pure's definitely amazing! I like Pure so much that I listen to it every day.

I was actually finding it hard to choose between Treasure and Odyssey. I LOVE Odyssey - there's something really special about it. But then i ended up choosing Treasure.... Dori

I voted for Odyssey without hesitation, although my favorite album is the Special Edition. I have always loved it right from the start. Needless to say all her albums are *best* !!! Love, Marianne

All her albums are great, but I truly have a dilemma: I love "Celtic Treasure" the traditional songs are beautiful, but then I also like "Odyssey" because I can relate more with tracks on the "Odyssey" album than "Celtic Treasure"....

I voted for "Pure". Actually I like all her albums but I prefer the musical mix on "Pure". It's not too classical with songs like "Who painted the Moon black" and "Wuthering Heights". And "Pure" was her latest album when I discovered Hayley's music. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

This is a hard choice! I like all her albums for different reasons and would not have a "total favourite" they all are for the resons here:
Pure - Because each song is different. Although many lyrics seem similar and dark or you'll remember them, does not make each song similar. One good thing (dare I say it?) Wuthering Heights. She sang it well.
Odyssey - Because these songs are beauitful nd relate to things more.
Treasure - Shows her true colours and shows her Irish ancestor roots. Looked at song "Sonny" and found it was origally by a Newfoundland man and its called "Sonnys Dream" and lyrics are almost completly different in Hayleys version except for some parts sound same or similar.
She makes "Treasure" great because the songs on it are emotional. You feel things when you listen to them.
Other albums I have not heard. Would love to have "Eternal Flame" as she sounds great from what I heard on clip on this site.
I first discovered Hayley from listening to Pure and I got the two disc one with the VCD. love the "Pokarekare ana (vocalise)" most of all. First song I heard of hers and it still makes me feel emotional casue of the way she sings its and how "mystical" it sounds compared to original version.
I voted for "Pure" and because that there is lyrics you'd remember, I like it most. Will love all Hayleys songs and always listen to her work.
Not a day goes by when I don't listen to either "Odyssey UK or Korean version, or Pure or Treasure"
My favourite on Odyssey is probably "She moves through the fair" both the original and classical mix. Love original for its "pipes" or whatever instrument is used instead of flute in classical mix. Also love "Never saw Blue" because maybe I am one of those "romantic" people?
I love each albumn for its differences and have no total favourite. Her voice and styles mature as does her music. I will always listen to what she does and probably won't have anything bad to say.

This was SO tough- but I went with Odyssey. There are so many versions that many of the songs on other albums (such as the Water is Wide) are also on Odyssey. And-I love the cover and photoshoot! LOL But I'm not marking down ANY of her albums- basically, it was a GIANT tie with Odyssey barely in the lead!

Well when I first heard one of Hayley's songs it was about three years ago at a dance and it was Who painted the moon black. I went out the next day and bought her Pure cd and fell in love with her instantly. So as hard as the choice was I voted for Pure. I'll just never forget hearing her voice for the first time.

Hi Everyone,
An extremely difficult choice, of the three I have heard - Pure, Odyssey and Treasure, it is hard to pick one out, they are all fantastic albums.
I love listening to all three of them, I listen to them every morning at work, sometimes one after the other, sometimes shuffled.
At a push, and for the sake of the poll. I have gone for Pure.
