Hi All, I was looking for info about the release of Katherine's Living A Dream in Australia (which took place on May 13) and came across this page: www.universal-australia.com.au/musicpages/classicspriorities.htmlOn that same page is news about the release of Aled Jones's New Horizons on the same day, and about Hayley Westenra's album "Hayley Westenra" (!) on the same day. Now, this is not the self-titled album released years ago in NZ, rather, it seems like a cross-section from a number of albums ... It is not announced on the official site, and I don't recall it being referred to here (but maybe I missed something?) Anyway, here is the track listing: Catalogue Number: 475 7650 Barcode: 0028947576501 Label: Decca CD Release date: 13 May ARTISTS Hayley Westenra Andrea Bocelli* TRACKLISTING Pokarekare Ana Beat Of Your Heart Dell'Amore Non Si Sa* River Of Dreams Quanta Qualia Never Say Goodbye Dark Waltz May It Be Prayer CACCINI: Ave Maria Amazing Grace Benedictus Bridal Ballad ORFF: In Trutina Hine e Hine

You are quite right, Gerrit, this particular release has not been previously mentioned here. It looks remarkably similar to the compilation that was released... um... somewhere (Japan possibly) but I haven't yet checked their respective tracklistings. An interesting find, nonetheless.

Yes, I didn't know there was a 'new' album released here until I was sitting next to a man on the bus and he was looking at his newly purchased Hayley Westenra album! I was like 'what???' LOL

Hello Jenny, good to hear from you and hey, what a way to learn about a new Hayley release!!! I jolly well hope that you're off to the shops to buy a copy now as you could then tell us how that particular collection of Hayley songs sounds, and perhaps which versions they use for songs where several mixes have been released? Thanks for the link Gerrit, I note that a lot of promo is planned for Katherine this week so she should do quite well in the charts this weekend. I see that Aled Jones also released this week as did a few other high profile classical/crossover albums, all on the same date! This would never happen in the UK, they would stagger them, I wonder what the thinking is there? No promo is mentioned for Hayley's compilation, or for Aled until presumably his August tour, so it looks like a low profile launch for them and clearly, with all the promo, Katherine will get the highest chart entry (if indeed the other two chart at all). Cheers, Dave

I ordered this CD out of curiosity as much as anything. It arrived today. As you can see, the cover loks identical to the cover of the Special Edition of Odyssey apart from the title and its position. The entire insert is identical to that of Odyssey other than the tracklisting. Same photographs in the same order with the same text. The full track listing appears in the first post in this thread. It is basically 9 songs from Pure interspersed with 6 from Odyssey. It is a wonderful collection for anyone who is just discovering Hayley for the first time but I see no reason to buy it if you have her first two international albums. That is, unless you happen to be as daft as I am and want to own a litle bit more "Hayley history". Roger

Hi Roger, Does this CD still have the kind words about Kieth in the inset? Steve

Yes it does - exactly as printed in Odyssey.

I could not resist these two, Hayley signing the said CD for Roger. From what I could hear Hayley was not aware that it had been released. For those of you not there, the guy at the back (left) must be a mate of the guy in orange at Wisley, and the guy at the back right was trying very hard to take Hayley back to meet the top brass inside, but she was having none of it! Sorry Roger, hope you don't mind! Steve H

Not at all Steve, thanks very much. When I get a minute, I will try to scan the signed insert and post it just to complete the story!

Hi All, Grant in particular: Grant was trying to remember this one a short while back & I finally found this pic in my records. Marianne gave it as a gift to a friend of hers a couple of years ago. You can still find online sellers of it but I'm unsure of stocks.I'm referring to decca cat 4757650. (the lower one) Graeme

Ah yeah, I bought that album at a Sanity store at Victoria Gardens in Richmond about a year and a half ago. I thought it was the Odyssey album at the time until I got it home, haha.
