Hi guys, I'm new here (and a new Hayley fan, too) but when I couldn't see this news on HWI or her "official" site I just had to join and mention it.
Pure went double platinum (600,000 sales) on Dec 12th, exactly 13 weeks after its UK release - an average weekly sale of 46,154 and still at number 10 in the pop album charts. As it only went platinum on 14th November, the sales seem to be increasing pace rather than slowing down.
It's interesting to compare sales with Charlotte Church's "Voice of an Angel", that went double platinum 3 weeks after its release date of 1st December 1998... and double platinum is where it ended up.
So who knows, by the time Hayley returns to the UK in March, she may have a triple platinum here - which would beat the total sales for Voice of an Angel!
