Hello everyone, I've just made a post in the Celtic treasure (US version) thread listing each track and its Country of origin, so i thought I'd do the same for the UK version to see if there are a y noticeable differences! Here it is (do correct any errors ): 1. Let Me Lie [Original song] 2. La Notte Del Silenzio [Original Song, Italian style] 3. Shenandoah [Traditional, American] 4. Whispering Hope [Traditional, American] 5. Summer Rain [Original song] 6. Danny Boy [Traditional, Irish] 7. One Fine Day [Opera, Italian] 8. Santa Lucia [Traditional, Italian] 9. The Heart Worships [Classical, English] 10. E Pari Ra [Traditional, New Zealand] 11. Sonny [Traditional, Irish] 12. Summer Fly [Folk, American] 13. Melancholy Interlude [Classical, English, lyrics original] 14. Bist Du Bei Mir [Classical, German] 15. Abide With Me [Traditional (hymn), English] So we have: Original - 3 (+ 1 original lyrics) English - 3 American - 3 Italian - 2 (+ 1 Italian style) Irish - 2 German - 1 New Zealand - 1 Which is, I think, a nicely balanced spread of traditional, folk and original songs from many Countries... but there isn't much overtly classical material in there! The US version Celtic treasure does have the expected leaning towards Irish and American material (see Celtic Treasure thread here) but only slightly so, and this is almost matched by the extra "English" song as well. Cheers, Dave

'Not much overtly classical in there.' Is that an al;arum bell, that this might not be classified as a classical CD, Dave? Peter S.

Hi Peter, No, I just meant that it's "gently classical"... no heavy classical; no Benedictus shocks! It will definitely qualify for the UK classical charts -probably by the skin of its teeth! Cheers, Dave

My top six would have to be:-
1 "Sonny" 2 "Abide With Me" 3 "Let Me Lie" 4 "Melancholy Interlude" 5 "I Para Ra" 6 "One Fine Day"
Abide with Me has been my favourite hymn for many years. Hayley's rendition is the most hauntingly beautiful version I have ever heard.

Okay, I'll have a go for the top six thing. Is there a prize for getting it right? For me, it is relatively easy to pick my top six but putting them into order is impossible. I will therefore list them in the order in which they appear on the album: 1. La Notte Del Silenzio 2. Whispering Hope 3. E Pari Ra 4. Sonny 5. Summer Fly 6. Bist Du Bei Mir Just to add to the excitement of the release of Treasure, I will start a poll on the morning of 26th February. Then, on 13th March, I will start one for Celtic Treasure. Roger

Hello Meagan, You had me scratching my head there for a moment as half an hour ago, I was looking at Hayley's "Treasure" page at 7digital.com www.7digital.com/stores/productDetail.aspx?shop=34&product=60235&sid=974573 and everything was (and still is) the same as before. The release is still shown as 26 February 2007... but as you said, your link at the same place shows 19 February 2007 and several track changes! The missing Shenandoah and Sonny, which are two of the best tracks on the album, mystify me! Romeo and Juliet is certainly "our Hayley" but "Jekyll" doesn't sound like Hayley as we know her... though I *do* know what *that's* about, teehee! Sounds like a case for Détective Inspecteur Rogér! Cheers, Dave
