I had HUGE expectations but Hayley's "Treasure" is far beyond that. The CD is absolutely phenomenal...!! The variety of music is incredible and I enjoyed every second of it. Hayley, this one is a winner!!!

Hi Stephany, Now be honest, which means more to you? Receiving Treasure, or becoming a full member of this forum? Okay, this is one occasion when I am happy to let HWI take second place! Enjoy both. Roger

I received my copy of Treasure last week, and I'm very happy with it. I love almost all the songs on it. There are just two that will have to grow on me (Let Me Lie and Summer Rain).
Anyway, the thing that I'm disappointed about, is not only Decca's failure to include the lyrics - as I understand it, Hayley herself finds the lyrics to a song of great importance - but they also did not include the wonderful liner notes that Hayley wrote for each of the songs! They can be found on her website, but NOT in the cd booklet!
I'm surprised that I seem to be the first to complain about this, but I really don't understand it!

A valid complaint Jeroen:
Hayley's lyrics - the words themselves, and the way she evokes them - are truly things of beauty, no less than the flats and sharps. I want to know all of her thoughts about each and every song, so I share your disappointment.

Hi socalboy and jeroen, I have always felt that the lyrics should be included in any album and I share your disappointment that they were not included in Treasure. The notes to which you refer are the same as appeared in the press kit. In case anyone hasn't seen them, thanks to Dave, they appear HERE. Roger

I must admit I was a bit apprehensive towards "Danny Boy" because Meav from CW did such a good job with this song and I was afraid Hayley couldn't sing it as beautifully. Of course, I was totally wrong...!!!
All the other songs are pretty new to me - and I loooooove all of them. Especially "Let me lie" and "Summer Rain". And "Sonny" is absolutely fantastic...I don't know why, it stirs up strong emotions for me.

Hello everyone, Thanks to Simon, who by chance happened to be recording the right thing at the right time on Friday i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif we now have a copy of the UK advert for Treasure! It is the Tesco version - which is good news as Tesco is the biggest Supermarket in the UK and is equal in size to the next two added together! I've compressed and uploaded the 32 second advert to the Video-Vault at HWI and it can be found here Cheers, Dave

The clarity of Hayley's voice in this ad surpasses that in the audio clips on her official site. How'd you manage that?
By the way. Tesco may be quite the giant in the UK, but in the States it's primarily known as the place which inadvertantly sold black-widow spiders with their grapes a few years back.

Hi All.
When I logged on ten minutes ago there were two people online. Roger and myself.
So, I hope I have held back long enough that Roger goes first as I suspect he, like me, has been listening to Classicfm and is poised to post the moment we know.
Well done Hayley Westenra, and well done all her fans who helped get her there. It's without question where 'our girl' belongs!
Now, can she hold it? I have never in my life listened with such bated breath and so avidly to any top ten announcement.
Well done Hayley, well done. Hopefully this will now re-awaken interst in Pure and Odyssey and seeing her with three in the top twenty. Peter S.

Thank you for holding back for me to post whilst, unbeknown to you, I was awaiting Dave's appearance. Who were you waiting for, Dave? Anyway, congratulations Hayley. As Peter says, you are back in your rightful place: No 1 I was even more pleased when they played 'E Pari Ra' as if to celebrate the occasion. Roger

Sounds like a round of 'pass the parcel'! Is it possible that everyone was waiting for everyone else so that we might have ended up without anyone posting anything! Cheers for now. Peter S.
