It seems to have slipped the mods. notice, but the "Flower" video is not the type of video this forum allows, or so I thought. Which Flower video? The one I posted, or the one Martin posted? If it's mine, oops sorry! Yours I'm afraid Paige, as it is the actual commercial recording from HSJS2 with added pictures. The one I posted was a recording of a TV appearance. But if it's OK with Richard, then it's OK. Martin D

That video was the only one, or one of very few, that I could find of the song as, to my knowledge, it's never been performed live.

Just to add that we do discuss this kind of thing from time to time and tend to take a more pragmatic view these days. For Youtube videos, we consider each case on its merits and if we think there's a good reason for posting a video link, we tend to allow them, though there are exceptions, particularly for recent material.
Nearly everything on Youtube is automatically monetised by the rights holders these days, so they (and hence the artists/composers etc.) do get some financial reward from them and they can if they wish have them taken down, but at least for HWI videos, rarely do - only a couple over the years. We still won't generally host commercially available recordings on our website though, so we are mainly talking about Youtube videos.

The naming of this video caught my eye, The (HWI) part in particular.

Well that's nice of them to credit us in the title, but I don't recall this one at all! Can't get too worked up about it then even if they 'pinched' it! I've probably just forgotten, I bet one of our illustrious Irish members remembers it though! Cheers, Dave

I'm not a singer, but Wuthering Heights seems like it's quite a challenging piece. I imagine there aren't many singers in the world that can sing it with such power and precision.

It is! complex scales and phrasing coupled with the high range that the song demands makes it quite challenging. Most of the song is sung in the head voice, really high pitched, and since Hayley has great resonance in her higher registers she sings this song effortlessly. Since you mentioned 'precision' though, a great term at that, Her Live from New Zealand performance was more perfect compared to this one, but it seems like she really knows what she's singing in this, so I love both performances because of that. But then best of both worlds would be this one, thanks to Jillian for doing an amazing job at the video...
Perfect vocals and emotion.

She sang it well in Madison, too, although I think in the past few years, she sings the Heathcliffe parts too fast.

I found his comments and some of his facial expresions very interesting. He clearly loves Hayley's voice. I wonder if he makes money from his reviews. Jim

Yes, it does happen. I was offered payment by YouTube in exchange for carrying ads on the videos on my channel. I didn't bother. I was trying to spead the word about Hayley, not annoy people.

Ah, okay. It makes sense for actual "youtube artists", but someone like this wouldn't seem to warrant payment, IMO.
