I'm a little slow out of the gate with this one, but better late than never, right? So without further ado, here are my predictions for 2008:
1. Hayley will finally appear on an American talk show worth watching (like Letterman, Leno or Oprah).
2. Hayley will be offered a speaking and singing part in a major motion picture.
3. She will meet the Queen on five separate occasions.
4. Her family will be offered -- but wisely decline -- a reality show on the Bravo channel.
5. Hayley will secretly record a Country album under a fake name and it will be a huge hit worldwide.
6. Some of the Hayley-bought bikes for Ghana will turn up on eBay.
7. At least two members of HWI will receive major recording deals.
8. Hayley will launch her own brand of perfume.
9. Universal/Decca will have a "name the new CD" competition for Hayley's 4th album and one of us will win.
10. Hayley will have her motorist's license by late October.

Well, Hayley did mention something about touring the states in a recent interview. It sounds like after she starts recording her new album. She lists touring Australia first, though. I'm so afraid the U.S. tour won't have enough tour dates, and she won't come here. She'll most likely have to tour with somebody else in the U.S., like she did with Il Divo.

Hmmm, predictions...
Well, leaving out the election, because I'm sure that would get deleted, I think that...
1. Hayley will release her fourth international album in the fall. It will have more original material, but largely stick to the formula that has been followed up to now.
2. Hayley will do a cluster of concerts in the U.S. in the fall, but they will be small in scale and in smaller venues, mostly on the East Coast. She will not tour with anyone else.
3. Hayley will sing in September as the various allied nations commemorate the Hundred Days' Offensive that ended World War I.
4. Hayley will be tapped to sing on the soundtrack of one of the upcoming large-scale fantasy movies, but the song is likely to be somewhat derivative of "Into the West."
5. Hayley will no longer be compared to you-know-who, as you-know-who will do nothing of significance this year.
6. Hayley will start dating casually, and be linked with a few London names, but nothing serious yet.
7. Two members of the forum will be offered record deals. Both will turn them down, one because the producer will want to take her in too poppy a direction, the other because she wants to finish her education first.
8. At least four and maybe more of the "crop" that sprang up with Hayley and you-know-who will give up the ghost. One will do so because of a relationship, another because schooling will leave her no time for music, the rest because they will realize, though they won't say it, that they aren't going to rule the world at 20, and they need to start thinking about "real" careers.

I disagree with this- if I were to get a record deal, I think I'd take it& just get a private tutor. Now, as for the too poppy one, I agree. But these are just predictions. |

Well, that's a nice, optimistic prediction. That would be horrible to completely ignore the rest of the country. It's not like she only has 3 fans in the U.S. Why would they make a U.S. version of her albums if they don't think we're big enough fans? Of course, it wouldn't be so bad for you, since you live on the East Coast. A "cluster of concerts" is not a tour, in my opinion. When she toured with Il Divo, she went all over the U.S., so why couldn't she do something like that again? Touring with somone who is popular here will gain her more U.S. popularity than if she does 5 concerts by herself. If she could spend 2 weeks in Japan, she could probably spend a similar amount of time here. She gained a bit more popularity by touring with CW. She I don't think it will be in the fall, though. It sounded like the tour of Australia and the U.S. would be soon after recording her album in March. 4. I assume you mean "The Hobbit", and I hope she will sing for it. She's from NZ, so if it's filmed there, she should. Some people think it won't come out till 2011, though. Hmmm.... that seems like a real possibility right now. If it does happen the first thing I would WANT to do is sing with Hayley  but that might not happen for a quite awhile.  |
