What should you wear to a Hayley Westenra concert? I see that some have the HWI garb and the tartan ties, but what should the rest of us wear? I propose a dress code and a very practical one at that! - If it's your first time seeing Hayley in person, you should wear something white on top - a white shirt, blouse or tie will work. This will signal the performers (Hayley, Fiona, Ian, etc) that first-timers are in the house.
- If you've seen her fewer than five times, a bit of green will do nicely.
- If it's anywhere between your 5th and 10th Hayley event, a solid maroon will announce your presence respectably.
- Should this be your 11th - 25th time seeing her, the beautiful HWI blue seems entirely appropriate.
- Over 25 times -- the best color would be golden!
This code seems like a fair way to organise the fans and it might serve as an ice-breaker among concert-goers. It also cues Hayley as to whom she is singing for. No doubt she'll enjoy seeing a healthy mix of "colors" in the audience. If she sees a lot of newbies out there her selection of songs could even shift to accommodate them!

Sorry, Steve, but I never wear green and I should want to wear as I please.... Lots of love, Marianne

Thanks for the post, Steve. I may be wearing my HWI polo (white/pink) for my first meeting with Hayley unless it's too hot inside the venue. We'll be standing at Shepherds Bush so I'll probably wear something else...

Thats good to know, I wear whiteish shirts mostly anyway, so the first time I see her, i will wear one of them. Won't see her to probably next year and when I do, I don't want to look too casual. Had my eye on a dark purplish silk shirt, but it was £50 and now gone. Would have been nice to waer that one to a concert of hers.

Okay, what happens if it's your first time seeing Miss Westenra and you only have only colour shirt - and it's not white?

Hi Mac, Don't worry too much I am sure this thread was only started for a bit of fun and was never meant to be anything other than that, what you wear is up to you, I certainly will continue to wear what I chose to Hayley concerts and I am sure that goes for the vast majority of members of this forum, lets hope you get to see Hayley soon! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSteve H
