Hi Steve and Russ,
I quite frequently hear of people experiencing a similar difficulty and it is highly likely to be caused by the spam filters on certain email accounts. The one which is notoriously bad (on ProBoards forums such as this one) is AOL, hence our statement on the Announcements board. Hotmail used to be a problem but it seems to work fairly reliably now. It would appear that the same thing is occurring at hw.com.
Unfortunately, such difficulties are beyond the control of the forum administrators and we can only recommend that people attempt to register again using a different email account.
Good luck! Roger

It worked for me when I tried the "forgot my passwort"-button (helps with web.de) Then I received an e-mail with the password although I did not receive the first one. Frauke

Roger Hi Roger, Thanks for your response. I haven't had any problems registering with HWI or logging into this forum. I've used 1/2 dozen email address to create accounts at HW.com and still no return email

Hi Folks. It's no wonder they have so many members with very similar names then, also members who have never made a post either. Nor can you delete your profile if you did not receive the password in the first place. this explains a lot a quick glance through pages 28 to 34 of the members will reveal a lot of members with zero posts. also some very funny variations of the same name, and in the end the frustration shows in some of the ruder variations of the screen names. comet

You are quite right, comet. The last time I checked, there were about 820 members of the official forum who had NEVER posted. Not receiving the confirmation email is likely to be the reason in many cases. Stick to HWI, that's what I say! Roger

Like I've already posted previously I have the same problem with the official forum. I've tried four times to register there, I guess, with AOL, Hotmail, Tiscali and even with my e-mail-address from work. And guess what ... nothing worked! If somebody finds in the member list usernames including "Thomas" in different variations ... well ... four of them are mine. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Don't care so much about them they don't work anyway. Maybe I should try web.de like you suggested, Frauke. I don't have an account there so far but that can be changed quickly. Thomas

Frauke hi fenn, yeah I tried that too,it said a new password has been sent,so I go & check my e-mail & there's nothing there. Not in the "Inbox" or in the "spam or junk" mail folders!....Strange! ***************************************************************** I've tried AOL,one called "Lycos.com/mail"& my own hometown internet provider that has e-mail,none of them worked on HW official forum.....

Ditto. I disabled the spam filters on a few of the e-mail accounts I used to sign up. Got a few very strange spams, but nothing from HW.com. It's broken I tell ya! Russ

Hello folks,
I think maybe the problem is that there are several people register their account at the official forum at the same time. The system cannot process so many. E.g. If there are 5 people register their account at the same time, may be only one of them can get the password in their email box, the other four can't. And because it is an international forum, it is difficult to know when there is less people registering their account. Maybe the best way is to try registering many many times until you get the password from the system.
Raymond
