I live on a small Island in the USA. I have a friend who fell in love with Hayley's music after I played her DVD for him.
About a month ago he was diagnosed with cancer, an sadly this life two days ago. Before he died, he constantly listened to Hayley's music. Toward the end he made it known that is only request for his funeral was Hayley's version of AMAZING GRACE with the bagpipes in the background.
I just wish I knew how to thank Hayley for giving a dying man happiness. We live too far from any major cities so I doubt I would ever hear on of her concerts. If any knows how to reach her, please tell her thank you.

Hi John, Lovely to hear from you. Your story is indeed a sad one and yet also very touching and a real tribute to Hayley. I will be sure to tell her, when I hope to meet her on April 7th, at the Concert in Glasgow. Please keep posting up your messages! Regards, Andrew

I have sent a copy of your message to Hayley's manager and asked that he pass it on to her. I know she would also wish me to convey her sympathies. Best wishes, Roger

Hi John,
I would like to associate myself with the sentiments that Roger had said. My thoughts and prayers are with you and and your friend's family. I truly believe that Hayley's voice can ease the troubled mind.
Take care, Joe

Hi John.
First, welcome to our site.
Two, Sorry the reason you post is a sad one but something well worth sharing, so thank you for that. Hopefully you will find on our boards some helpful solace and you will not feel quite so alone.
Three. Including myself, several of us here have gone through a period of personal grief, ill health and general emotional trauma and we can all echo your sentiments and those of your friend, that Hayley provides a wonderful balm to a bruised and hurting spirit. In my Christmas card to her, I told her that her audiences may tell her of some of the pleasure she gives but she could never know the great pleasure she brings to so many unseen and unknown people and that it was good to tell her directly how much the world was a better`place just by her being.
As one of those equally enraptured by her but who has had the privilege of meeting her a few times, I can tell you the girl on the DVD is the same girl off stage. That lovely little cameo piece with her sister Sophie shows the love and the lovely spirit that just pours out of the girl.
Good luck with your future life, Peter

Hello John. I'm also offering my condolences to you and your friend's family. I remember reading several messages on Hayley's old guestbook saying how her music has comforted people during difficult times, so I know she will be very touched when she reads your message. I hope you will continue to enjoy Hayley's music, and please keep in touch with us on the Forum. Best Wishes from London, Richard

I thank all of you for your thoughts.
I feel like I lost to good friends this year, my friend here and Keith who kept up an e-mail friendship.
If Hayley gets the message I would be grateful. I am listening to her music here at work, remembering my friend. We both had wanted to get to her concert if she ever came near to us. Sadly, we never did.
Just the cost of getting off the Island is expensive and neither of us is wealthy. I stay in touch with Hayley's activities through her various web sites.
God Bless all of you
John, Beaver Island USA

I want to thank Roger and whoever else was involved in telling Hayley about my friend. We just scattered his ashes over Lake Michigan on Monday and when I got back I put on Hayley's DVD. Thank God the workd has a special person with a wonderful gift like Hayley.

I empathise with you entirely beaver island. We all have our traumas in life to go through and to each in their turn it is the worst it can get at the time. Stay with it. It is darkest before the dawn. There are other sunrises to come, even though we know no one sun rise is quite like another.
