Hi Richard! HOLST!!! I love Gustav Holst's version, no question about it I was listening to some Christmas music today and thought that Hayley should sing 'Ding Dong! Merrily On High'. It's one of my absolute favourite carols!

Hi Paige, Gustav Holst? The Planets? Ah, you mean like this! www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMHKtM7JzrsNot her best vocal performance I'll admit, but she did it unrehearsed (hence the little book with the words in) because she was asked to. Martin D

I just listened to Come What May performed by (I think) Nicole Kidman and Ewan MacGregor. One of my favorite ice dance teams skated to it, as well as other music from Moulin Rouge a couple years ago (and i saw them skate live!). The song itself is beautiful, but the singers' voices are a little on the bland side. Nice, but not amazing. Anyway.... I thought Hayley and Josh Groban would sound really good singing it! Hmm...That is, if they don't sing/write a new song instead. If they ever do sing together. I'm still hoping her recent work with David Foster will cause him to do something to benefit her career (besides the tour, of course!). Like having her duet with some of "his" artists.

Bahahaha I just realized my mistake!! Thanks for catching that, Martin I do like Gustav Holst too, though lol Hello Paige! You didn't make any mistake. Holst wrote other music besides 'The Planets', including his tune for 'In The Bleak Midwinter', as sung in the first video in my previous post. Perhaps Martin D was unaware. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cl13nLHbrjERichard

Hi Richard,
Yes, I know about Bleak Midwinter, a favourite carol of mine, and one that I would love to hear Hayley perform. I just didn't think of it at the time. Is that what you mean Paige?

I listen to Christmas music any day of the year Today at work I listened to my recording of the Nutcracker soundtrack. ! When there is a pile of Christmas mail orders on my desk, what else can one do! Hayley's "Winter Magic" will be on my playlist for working a half-day Saturday!

I get flak from my lovely wife Sue if I play Christmas music when it isn't Christmas. So I have to be careful. Even if my randomish stuff on the USB stick I use in our camper van happens to have a beautiful rendition of say "Silent Night", I get complaints. As for me, I will always enjoy any music from Hayley, whatever time of year it is.

I don't start till the day of Thanksgiving. Honestly, Christmas music is wonderful in limited amounts, but having it on 24/7 for more than a month can drive me a little bonkers. (This excludes Hayley, of course. ) -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

At work, I tend to hear Let it Snow, Have Yourself, and I'll Be Home for Christmas (among other songs) at least 5 times a day, just different people singing them! LOL I like Christmas music, but I hate hearing it allllll dayyyyy loooonngggg!! Occasionally they play one by Josh Groban, though, so it's not all bad. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

To revive an old thread... So I'm sitting here at work when Celine Dion's cover of The Bee Gees song "Immortality" comes on. I immediatly think this would be a great song for Hayley to cover! I can practically hear her singing it now! She did sing a Bee Gees song a long time ago
