Hi Devotedfan, Yes, Isaac does sing and I am told he is a very good guitarist too. He and Sophie were Hayley's guests during the Pure Tour in 2004. Here they are in Cardiff: L-R: Sophie, Katherine Jenkins, Hayley, Brandon Pou (NZ tenor) and Isaac Roger

I think she's sung Ave Maria enough times. It would seem pretty redundant, even if it is a different version. If she does them too much, she won't seem original enough. And she seems keen on making her albums more original these days.

Hi Libby,
And so she should. I am beginning to think that Hayley is now the one all the other crossover artists are tryng to copy. And they might get away with it too, since nobody knows about Hayley as she isn't promoted. So somebody who copies her and has decent promotion could clean up (no names, no pack drill), even if they are inferior in every possible way. And of course they almost certainly will be inferior, Hayley is a one in a century singer I think.
Martin.

Back on topic, how about some more Kate Bush! She is one of the few people that composed songs with a vocal range sufficient to let Hayley show off her voice. Heard "Then Heavy People" on the radio the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it, although some of the notes in that one might be a bit low for Hayley.

Hello Martin D! Talking of Kate Bush songs, 'The Man With The Child In His Eyes' would suit Hayley's voice rather well, or vice versa. Richard

whist browsing through some songs on Youtube I came across this song called I Will Remember You by Sarah McLachlan and I think it's a great song, I can't stop listening to it now, it's very emotional and I think it would suit Hayley's voice really well here's a link to a video of Sarah McLachlan singing it www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHooH4464dQ&feature=relatedbest wishes Sing x

I sang that song in junior high choir, for the 9th grade "graduation" ceremony. It is a nice song, but sad. One song I thought of recently is Nocturne by Secret Garden. I thought of it when I listened to a clip of Siobhan Owen's version on her new album, and thought it sounded like a lovely song for Hayley to sing. Then when Hayley said on Twitter that she was listening to Chopin's Nocturne, I thought of it again. However, I've discovered that much of the song is instrumental, so I'm not sure how that work for Hayley. It probably worked fine for Siobhan, since part of what she does is play the harp. I just enjoy Hayley's voice more. It is a beautiful song, though. Here's the song (performed in concert): www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMGsbhRKxPM&feature=relatedOf course, she's sung a Secret Garden song already (Prayer), but then she's done 2 Joni Mitchell songs, too, so I'm sure another one wouldn't hurt.

Oh, Song for Ireland... I am totally in love with that song, the lyrics are so beautiful and that recording is just amazing. I got it but it was attributed to Clannad. Even though I had serious doubts about that it was Clannad, I couldn't find the true artist of that recording... Till now... Hmm... Celtic Spirit? I can't find any relevant information about this group, no official site... Does anyone know who they are and where they are from?
And, coming to think of it... yes, definately it would be so lovely if Hayley recorded Song for Ireland.

I know I've mentioned this song before in this thread. But after hearing this recording, I am convinced that Hayley should record " Song for Ireland" written by Phil Colclough and made famous by Mary Black. Have a listen... www.last.fm/music/Celtic+Spirit/_/Song+For+IrelandHi Sonata, Thank you for your reminder, I have the CD, beautiful music, and "Song For Ireland" is a favourite of mine, Hayley's version would be fantastic! Best wishes, Paulo Correia

Sonata, I think I've thought of the song How Beautiful for Hayley to sing, too, but I haven't thought about it in a while. It is a pretty song.

I'd never actually heard Wild Mountain Thyme before, but Jillian got me interested in the song, since she listed it on her made up "tracklist". I listened to Judy Collins singing it with Pete Seeger in 1966. Her voice is really lovely. It would definitely be a nice song for Hayley to sing, and even Celtic Woman might do it, but even if they don't, I'd be happy enough listening to Judy Collins sing it, because her voice is very nice. That's another great choice, Libby. I orginally heard that song as "Will Ye Go, Lassie, Go?" performed by The Irish Tenors. They have a quite a lively version - it's probably the fastest out there. You can find their recording on YouTube, but I don't think I can post here due to this board's copyright policy.
