It's not a funny picture (unless you think Hayley is about to clench her fist at the photographers!) so I posted it where it belongs, in the Newmarket Races thread and I hope you like it.

Hi Richard & Peter, When I looked at that photo again I noticed that very eccentric but none the less talented John McCirrick in it. I read up on him yesterday since on this site was the first time I'd ever heard of him.
Apparently it was at Harrow school that he'd shown a talent for organising betting activities & has never looked back.
I wonder if he's a Hayley fan?? He seems to be peering down at her with interest.

"I do not like these late comers to my show, I do not like these late comers in the first row. I do not like them to be loud, but boy am I glad when they sit down!" I just found these pictures among the other ones I took in February while Hayley was touring with Il Divo. <3 Caite

Hi Caite.
Lost my inspiration due to being called away to the 'phone and the laptop batteries running flat whilst absent, so this won't flow as well as it might have done!
First, I agree the mood one might interpret in Hayley's expression in your pictures, particularly the top one with her arm on her waist, definitely looking exasperated by posture but remaining humorous in her facial expression.
I am immediately reminded of the way she handled the 'rowdies' at NZ Toast in Regent's Park. She put over her message of 'watch it fellows' superbly well, in a manner which retained humour while making it clear, 'enough's enough. guys' so that they bore no grudge, accepted her remonstration with good grace and paid heed to her intentions.
What I would like to posit here is that 'sweet and nice' though she appears to be, underneath she is a realistic, down-to-earth girl and if the need arose why should she not express her angst fulsomely? This is not a 'push over' nor a 'Miss Goody Two Shoes'--and i don't think we either see her that way or would want her that way. This is a real live active, professional young woman who, quite rightly, has no time for time-wasters.
At risk of crossing threads, this invokes the chat on the 'Wuthering Heights' debate. I think the third CD needs to have a similarly controversial element.
She has tried to widen her audience through the Il Divo tours. May be this is the time when she could strike out at as a more controversial element. Should we consider, with the need to hold her place and to improve her ratings, which means widening the audience attraction, she needs to be less vanilla?

Graemek A bit belated Graemek but I doubt very much that John McCirrick is a Hayley fan as he is the most male chauvinist pig I have ever come across and he despises all women. In fact it wouldn't suprise me if it was him who switched on the supercharged fan!! Martin

Peter I absolutely agree Peter, Richard's caption is a gem which I couldn't even get close too. However, for second place I thought: Man with clenched fist murmours " If anyone else says Hayley is having a bad hair day then I'll knock his lights out! Martin
