I've just been watching BBC's 'Songs of Praise', don't know if anyone else saw it?

Roger, I thought of you when Mario Frangoulis'
'Here's to the Heroes' was perfomed by Jon Christos, on the programme. I know you listed that song in your list of 'Desert Island Discs'...

Unfortunately I don't think Jon's rendition of the song is included in the clips on the website.
Indeed that is a lovely song, which is very moving.

I checked the listing beforehand, and decided I had a few other things to do which took preference. My decision was influenced by the fact that I already put Mario Frangoulis' Here's to the Heroes on Classicalrelatedperformances before:

Hi Andrew,

No, I didn't see the programme but, funnily enough, I passed through the room just as Jon Christos was singing 'Here's to the Heroes'. I paused long enough to reach the same conclusion as you - it was not as good as Mario's version.
