Hi Ben, More Hayley Guitar pictures for you! Hi Jillian Wow and wow! Thats a nylon string guitar in the picture on the left! She is also wearing a 'folk' style of clothing. She looks right with a guitar somehow.... The second picture is puzzling me a bit - i can't work out what the guitar is! Some sort of cutaway model perhaps.... BTW from the looks of it she is playing a D major chord! Pick in hand as well.... Thanks for these pictures Jillian - where did you find then??? Cheers, Ben

Ben, if I'm not mistaken, I think the photo of Hayley with the guitar, where she's wearing the white and red, is from when she sang "Who Painted the Moon Black?" for the US TV show, "American Dreams". I'm not absolutely positive that that is the photo, I might be wrong, but I know she did. And she was playing a guitar then, too.

Hi Libby Thanks for that - I might have a search around and see if there is a recording of that show which she appears on - I'm intrigued to see her guitar skills! Jillian - thanks for those photo's. Its nice to see generally that Hayley is so eager to play instruments onstage as well as sing - piano, guitar (hopefully in the future!), and not forgetting sleigh bells of course! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Ben

This photograph caught my eye this morning. It was taken by Grant at Tewkesbury Abbey: I love Hayley's wistful expression. Richard

The clip includes an ad which is partially taken from the American Dreams performance but stay with it and you will see a little more. We don't see her playing for long but she appears to include a bar chord (possibly F#m) which, on a steel string guitar, takes some effort. I ffel she was therefore rather better at that time (2004) than she let on! Roger

One of the first chords you learn. And finger style! Martin

G major perhaps, Martin. It isn't G7; that would be off topic! Roger

Hi Roger, It isn't G4 either. That would be even more off topic! Martin

Haha or you could go to the extreme and say that its an unorthodox way of playing Em7 first inversion, as we can't see if her little finger is on the G on the first string! :je Hayley's musical abilities never fail to amaze me!

Here's a nice photograph of Hayley with Kerenza Peacock, another of my favourite ladies. It was taken by Steve H at Bath: Richard
