Hi Richard, I had the video recorded off TV when Hayley's Both Sides Now was (still is) on Bravo Canada's video countdown. If you think it's okay for me to post it, I can upload it to Gerrit or have the mpeg posted somewhere and sent the usual way Unfortunately only the top 10 videos are available on Bravo's website and BSN is at #15 this week. I just read the posts in this topic. Thanks for the link to this great video. All the rain and claustrophobic shots are a nice contrast to the sunshine and openness of the Pokarekare Ana vid. It gives us "both" sides now.
And speaking of "BSN", I am flabbergasted to read than anyone didn't want this song on Odyssey. It's far and away the best thing on the CD. Who cares if it's already been done to perfection by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Judy Collins? Hayley's "BSN" comes a full generation (or two) later and is, to my ears, the definitive rendition. I used to worship the Collins' version but now I can't imagine it in anyone's voice but Hayley's.

Well Steve, you've just discovered one of the risks when old threads are resurrected after a gap of several months. 'Twas me who thought BSN shouldn't have been on Odyssey but that was five months ago and I was influenced by the only video clip available at the time - the 30 second one on Hayley's official site. When I eventually got to see the full video, my opinion was transformed. I explained my change of mind in this post in another thread four months ago, and here is a paragraph from it: Over the last couple of months, Hayley's BSN has grown on me. I think she identifies personally with the lyrics and that helps. But then, I saw the 30 second video clip. "How boring!" I thought, assuming the rest of it would be like the first 30 seconds. How wrong could I be! The complete video is nothing like the clip, Decca should remove the clip immediately and replace it by the full video - which is simply astounding. It makes the song so "Hayley" that this video could also transform the prospects of BSN being a hit single, if released. I love it! I think this is possibly the best promo video Hayley has ever made, rivalling, and in certain respects beating, the Pokare Ana video. I haven't changed my mind again since November! Cheers, Dave
