Well, the poll about Hayley's hair seems to have gone over really well so I figured you all might like this one! Maybe when a favorite arrives Emmet or somebody could make a photo manipulation of Hayley in costume! Natasha i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Actually, it would depend on what she was singing. I picked Victorian if she was doing a Christmas video with older carols. But she'd look just as good in a WWII ENSA uniform. Biblical, hmmmm. Another singer about the same age did don Biblical dress and it looked kinda artificial, and Hayley's hair is the wrong color to dress up Greek.

Hello Poll Queen Natasha! I don't really know what I'm talking about here, but I think Hayley would look good in Victorian costume. I'm sure it would suit her natural looks, but please don't ask me to explain why!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes to you and Crystal, Richard

I choose Renaissance. I don't know how to explain. But it is the best I think.
Cheers, Raymond

OUCH Natasha!! You've done it again. I had to think for a long time about this one. I am your typical man (I hope) - I have no idea about fashion. I know what I like when I see it, but have no idea what to call it. Anyway, I have gone for Victorian because there were some amazingly beautiful gowns around. Another thing which threw me was coupling it with Civil War. It depends on whose you are talking about. Ours was virtually 220 years before yours. Keith.

Hmmmm, Considering the fact that it has been stated in the past that there is a Dutch factor in Hayley's ancestry somewhere, I would have liked an option "Dutch traditional period costume (including clogs !) As a number of those trace their history back to the Middle Ages, well, I went for the second best option ... Cheers Gerrit

Hi Natasha I chose Civil War (US) period clothing. The war ended before the Victorian era. Picture Hayley as a sweet southern belle...complete with a parasol! Why, I do declare that a southern drawl would be mighty fine too. Hayley comes from the south (island of NZ!) Joe (you can call me maestro!) :2fun: Celebrating my 500th [/color] post! Here's to song; here's to time. Here's to both with friends of mine! For now, farewell and thank you.

Hi Joe
The start of the Victorian era predates the end of The American Civil War by 28 years. Victoria ruled from 1837 to 1901. (She died at Osborne House on The Isle of Wight, where I come from.) The American Civil War ended in 1865.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for correcting me! I meant to write after the Victorian era...that's what I get for posting after midnight! We are not amused!
I had a friend from Wales who went on holiday on the Isle of Wight. I thought that she had decided on an overseas trip...she said you try walking to the Isle of Wight! :2fun:
Cheers, Joe

I'm so glad you all seem to like this thread! I guess I really shouldn't have put Victorian and Civil War together, lol. My mistake!

Of the choices offered mine would be Renaissance. If you need some input before voting (or if Hayley needs a costumer) go to the following site: www.freewebs.com/behindthetapestry/index.htmFor those of you who were a part of CharlotteChurchFans.com a few years ago, you would know the seamstress as Firecat. She now is a Sophomore in college in western Michigan. All the clothes illustrated on her site are hand made down the the last stitch as they would have been.
