I just received an e-mail about a new compilation featuring Hayley. It's called 'Celtic Dreams' and features Hayley's version of My It Be.

Did anyone else get the e-mail?

Sometimes, I can't help fearing she's going to have a "Celtic" etiquette in the US. Don't get me wrong, she's excellent at singing Celtic songs! But it's only a small part of her repertoire and I wouldn't want her to be stereotyped.

Hi Stephany,

Yes, I suppose that is a possibility. If being labeled "Celtic" is a risk, it is probably one worth taking. It is important that her name becomes better known throughout the US. If it achieves that, she can always introduce other types of her music from her repertoire to them later. In 2004, she was introduced to the UK public, primarily as a Classical singer. It worked, but we now know she is capable of far more than that.
