Hi Steve, That has got to be one of the loveliest pictures we have ever seen of Hayley. I am not surprised it is one of your favourites. Mine too. Roger

Really lost for words having looked at his thread but suffice to say that being a relatively new member to HWI this thread really does bring home what it's all about. Wonderful work everyone (particularly Hayley). Also, superb photos Steve. Regards Martin

Hayley confirmed that enough money has been raised to provide 5,500 bikes for the girls of Ghana which will make such a difference to their lives. I believe this figure exceeds her original target by approximately ten per cent. Nevertheless, the campaign continues and HWI still have a link on the main site to UNICEF NZ in the hope that further donations will be made. Roger Hi All, what a superb outcome so far !!! So glad the occasion was so enjoyable for everybody involved. The pics are simply fabulous !!! Doesn't Hayley engage wonderfully with the kids !! Now a question to those of you present.......What was she singing in that side on shot. Or was that the mime??? To quote Stuart: "The highlight of Hayley's visit was her rendition for the pupils of Prayer, sung Capella without a microphone." Graemek

Gorgeous, just gorgeous. And what do those pictures show but what I always say about Hayley. She would be great to know just for the girl she is, the girl 'down the road' or 'next-door', never mind the fame bit. God Bless You you wonderful girl. And well done Stuart for running a wonderful school. Peter S. Hi Peter, My sentiments exactly!! What a privilege it is to have such wonderfully memorable contacts with Hayley!! What a great privilege to have these accounts related to us 'down under' via this fantastic forum!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Praise the Lord for Hayley !! love Marianne

Hi Graeme, Hayley was, indeed singing 'Prayer' when that photo was taken. How anyone can control a camera when there is a performance like that going on is beyond me. Roger

Wow, I had a really busy week at school and was only able to check for new messages on here a few times; needless to say I missed most of the pictures that have been posted (and there have been a lot). Hayley (and some talented HWI photographers) have been busy! These are probably my favorite pictures of Hayley. Pink suits Hayley (it brings out the undertones in her skin.) She looks like she is having a great time with all of the kids! Thanks for sharing the pictures! Katie

Hello everyone!
What can I say to add to such a superlative event. As I re-read the opening posts a second time, well, let's say I cried a little as I was overcome with joy.
What a remarkable amount of money raised by the children for UNICEF. Stuart, how proud I am of the efforts done by you and the school staff and young pupils.
Glad that HWI were there; Roger and Dave, you were there for all of us. Well done Andrew for being recognised for your contribution.
And of course well done Hayley for your incredible involvment in the Bikes for Ghana campaign. You've been sent on this earth to give hope to those who have none, and to give joy to those in need.
Thanks to all involved with this event.
Joe

Congratulations Stuart! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThis is a fabulous and very touching story, and well done to Alfred Salter School for raising £6,000 for Hayley's 'Bikes for Ghana' appeal. Also thanks to Steve and Roger for some of the loveliest photographs ever. I particularly like the ones of Hayley with the children, and she certainly connects well with people of all ages. I'm sure she departed from the school with a very good report! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes, Richard

What a wonderful set of photographs!!
It is SO nice to see Hayley dressed more casually than we are used to, and so obviously having a wonderful time.
She is truly an inspiration to all of us.
God bless you Hayley!

Roger Roger Does this mean the bikes for Ghana scheme is still open to receive donations? I usually make a donation at Christmas and would like to do so again this year. Grant

Hi Grant,
For the time being, yes. Hayley told me in July that she had reached her target and was considering her next project (possibly to eradicate the effect of Guinea worm). Until that campaign is agreed and fully set up by UNICEF, the Bikes for Ghana appeal continues.

What can I say that already hasn't been said. It really is lovely to see such natural photo's of Hayley doing one of the things she does best - simply talking to people and making them feel special !
