Hi Dean,
Savage Design was basically the name under which Simon, one of the former owners of HWI, was known on his websites. Whist it is therefore true that he created the site, ownership passed to me last year and Dave took over as webmaster. As you may have seen, Simon passed away last month.
The Savage Design site cannot be accessed by any of the HWI team and so there is nothing we can do to remove details of HWI there. The Savage Design logo still appears on some pages at HWI but will not be added to any future pages. It is likely to remain on some of the existing pages in recognition of the work that Simon did for the site.

Hi Roger, I am just wondering if your main site has access to any web technologies such as PHP, ASP etc Cheers Dean

Hi Dean, We have access to these technologies and others too but we are not currently employing them. This is likely to change before too long.
We are currently investigating different ways of carrying the main site in order to provide greater efficiency, an improved design, faster updates and better use of the archives. But as this is work in progress, it is, at present, too soon to go into further detail.
Cheers, Dave

Even if you don't know how you are going to go about it, simply to be told (and yes, I know the standard phrase is that you are always working on it) it is helpful, especially taking on board a means of better utilising the database, to be told of your intentions more specifically. Okay, that then leads to too early expectations especially if things don't at first work out! Grant's highlighting of 2,500 topics shows the enormous potential here and the responses and dialogue from Roger's posted 'Forum Structure and Navigation' paper shows many here are happy to gain greater understanding to use the site more fully. Well done guys--or should I have posted this under the thread of 'Expressing Appreciation!'? HEREPeter S.
