downloads and chat

i have an idea...

how about having a tab at the top (eg. where members, calander, home etc)
one for downloads - with all the things that are downloadable. like all the hayley clips and interviews, so there alltogether.

and another tab for chat.

Hi kiz,

This is an interesting idea. Of course, with the amount of time HWI has been around, there is a huge number of video and audio clips, which are stored at HWI and our sister site, HWI.net (which is operated by our good friend, Gerrit). At HWI, they are accessed by year to find the ones from that year, so a historical record.

This is actually a good time to bring up that suggestion as HWI is about to move to a new server, which will give us much more webspace and bandwidth, and will also result in all the Hayley videos being brought together in one place for the first time. During the process of moving the site, it will also be completely redesigned - a good time to think of such things.

Are you suggesting that we have a live chatroom? If you are, we can put that to the members to see what they think. The only thing I would have to insist on is that the chatroom was not used unless a member of staff were in attendance to monitor proceedings. Of course, with such an international forum as this, we would have to keep in mind the time differences for people.

But, good suggestions. We'll certainly have to give these some very careful thought.

with the time differences maybe you could dedicate a member or 2 you trust to moderate the chat if a staff member cant be on at the time. or a chat bot.

What's one of them? It's alright, I am not very computer literate. So, such things are new to me.
