I would guess that many users here know to click on the "30 most recent posts" link to catch up on the latest discussions. That's how I do it and it works just fine.
But on the main index page, which many of us use, too, there is misleading information in the "Last Post" area for the "Hayley in Concert - WORLD TOUR WITH IL DIVO" category, which might result in someone overlooking the treasures lurking within.
The Last Post reads:

For that date (Feb 1, 2006) to be locked in like that -- after all the cool stuff that's been added since then -- is unfortunate.
