Hi admins, I think you saw it by yourself, since some days we have the problem, that some pictures (avatares) determine the width of the left column at some pages. Why the width of the columns are not fix?

Hi Lothar,
I think that the problem may be with the size of the images people are using. Previously, when the forum was fixed with a default maximum of 100 by 100, that was probably keeping it under control. But, I have now added a code which over-rides the default maximum, now making the size available 150 by 150. With the default limit taken off, the new code may not be resizing the images properly. There have been a coupl of occasions when I have spotted this problem myself and identified the image causing the problem. When that happens, I can go into that members profile and reset the avatar size in there as well. That then corrects the problem. But, I have to see it before I can correct it.
Eventually, I will have picked up on them all and the problem will cease.
If you spot this happen again, make a note of the members name against which there is a very large picture instead of the standard sized avatar, and let me know about it, giving me also which thread you saw it on. I can then check it and, go in and correct it.
Many thanks, Keith.

The new size limit code for avatars seems to have been causing a clash with forum software. Even though it was written for PBv4. So, I have removed it and the avatars are now back to a limit of 100 by 100 pixels.

Hello Keith and everybody! I notice some pictures in avatars now look out of proportion. I've corrected mine by modifying it in my profile, so I hope everybody else will do the same. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBye for now, Richard
