Hello everyone, Natasha Marsh is a 31 year old Welsh opera singer (but she sounds English!) who releases her debut album, of classical crossover music, next week 19th February. This is one week before Hayley's "Treasure" is released in the UK. I've just visited her official website, which includes three full length songs from the album "Amour" and I have to say, for an opera singer (who I am very choosy about) she has "my kind of voice". She has what sounds to me like a light and airy singing voice (for an opera singer!) ... the type that I like. I sense though that she is deliberately "holding back" on this album to match its theme. She is probably a lyric soprano... my kind of voice! Having listened to the three clips on her website, I am quite impressed. This album is probably going to qualify as classical and it should enter high in the classical charts - perhaps at no. 1 next week. Hayley will overtake it the following week, however, I have the a feeling that Natasha Marsh is soon going to have a good classical crossover career to add to her operatic career. We shall see! Cheers, Dave

She is quite good, but I think I prefer Johnny Cash's version of "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." One thing is certain though, the Commonwealth is turning out a fair number of beautiful women these days!

Yes, I don't think she will be too well suited to the pop numbers and I've certainly heard better versions of "The First Time..." but classically inclined people will like the album. But it's probably not for Belinda! And she certainly hasn't got the "Hayley" factor! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Dave

Hi Dave
You beat me to it in introducing Natasha Marsh to HWI. I have been listening to those three samples over and over. I find her voice very clear and soothing and will certainly be purchasing this album next week. Natasha was supporting G4 during their tour of churches before Christmas. She is now support to Russell Watson on his rearranged tour dates. Regards,
George

Natasha was supporting G4 during their tour of churches before Christmas. She is now support to Russell Watson on his rearranged tour dates. I've booked a ticket for a charity concert at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester with Russell Watson, Natasha Marsh and the Hallé Orchestra. It really isn't the 'type' of concert I would have been to a few months ago but Hayley has really broaden my perspective and music taste. It's next Friday, on the 5th of October and I seriously can't wait ! Stephany i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I'm sure you will enjoy the concert. Thanks, Grant! I did enjoy the concert immensely. Natasha has a very powerful and yet, sweet voice. She's brillant ! Her duet with Russell on 'The Prayer' was a real highlight. She also sang 'You'll never walk alone' and did a smashing version of 'Rule Britannia'. She wore a rugby jersey (English team of course!) with a supporter scarf during the song, which was really funny. The couple sitting next to me was stunned to see that I knew pretty well the lyrics of 'Jerusalem', 'Rule Britannia' and 'Land of Hope and Glory'. Hayley........ The Hallé orchestra did some wonderful numbers so I really had a great time. It was a charity concert for the Manchester hospital for Children so I'm delighted to know that the funds I used to purchase a ticket will go to them. Stephany

Hi George,
Thank you very much for your best wishes. I believe Mary is also going to the Sheffield concert on Wednesday . She has a VIP ticket for a meet&greet with Natasha after the concert. I hope you & Denise have a wonderful time in Sheffield. I certainly look forward to hearing Natasha, especially in a Cathedral. Will Martin is the guest artist so I'm sure he'll do very well too.

Hi George and everyone, I was lucky enough to attend Natasha's concert in Chester yesterday evening and it was absolutely superb. She performed songs from her album 'Amour' and a few Christmas favourites, accompanied by a wonderful kid's choir. She also sang a duet with Will Martin (he sang three songs of his debut album 'A New World' as well). The audience had a blast (it was also very intimate, no more than 250 people I think). The performers were all marvellous. I was Will Martin's guest so I didn't have to pay for a ticket and was sitting in the reserved area. I was also allowed to stay during the soundcheck and had so much fun with everyone (Will, Natasha, her band...). They really are a lovely bunch. I also met Will's manager, Paul, who always made sure that I had everything I needed. Had a chat with Will during more than an hour before the concert (don't think he noticed that the time was flying by...I did, because I was worried that he wouldn't have the time to do his own soundcheck!) and he is adorable. We talked about his album, his upcoming tour with All Angels, West Side Story (he's delighted for the Grammy nomination!), New Zealand, Hayley & Elizabeth, etc. Natasha is also a lovely girl and she speaks French very well too! I was very impressed by Natasha and Will...they are both very professional and yet very down-to-earth, like a certain girl we all know They were joking all the time! I really had a great time with them. Only four people paid for Meet&Greet tickets (45 pounds!) and two of them had to leave early so after the concert I had a nice glass of white wine and another lovely chat with everyone. I also stopped counting the number of hugs I got from Will & Natasha :rollin Anyway, I really had a blast and I can only advice you to go and see them in concert whenever you have the opportunity. You won't regret it. George, Denise and Mary - I hope you enjoy the Sheffield concert. I didn't post too many details about the concert itself to avoid spoiling your evening. But believe me, you won't be disappointed! Here is a picture I took of Natasha&Will. The two others were taken by Natasha's husband for me. Merci beaucoup Natasha, Will, Paul and everyone Lots & lots of love Stephany
