Good luck to Natasha - it's quite a coup, getting the ITV Euro Championships theme song! It will be interesting to see if she sings it all as written, complete with the almost impossible to sing "High Fs" (F6) or if she has to modify her version in some way. For those who know, here is an example of what I mean: The Queen of the Night by the amazing Luciana SerraIf you don't know what I mean, listen to the segment from 45 seconds to 1m 15 seconds in... the four highest notes you can hear are the highest vocal notes in the standard classical repertoire. Cheers, Dave

Cheers, Dave I see hear what you mean Dave. Mozart certainly knew how to shatter glass. Have a listen to Natasha's sampler link in Stephany's post and let me know what you think. Martin

Hi Dave Well she may be considered technically 'excellent' but to my delicate ears Luciana sounded dreadful! Not my cup of tea at all. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant, I'm not a fan of hers I was just illustrating the point about those hard to reach high notes - not a lot of singers can do that! I could have used Mariah Carey to illustrate some even higher notes but I thought that might be simply too much for non-Mariah fans to bear! It will be interesting to see if Natasha attempts those same high notes in her recording and when she sings live. Cheers, Dave

Hello Dave, Not sure if you've seen it but you can listen to a sample of Natasha's version HERE (when I click on the play button it doesn't work, but clicking on 'Listen' works better ). It seems to me she didn't attempt those high notes? Stephany

Hi Stephany I've ordered the new album (from Play.com as that was the cheapest by far) so I'll let you know what I think of it later this month.
Kind Regards Martin

Hello Martin! Good to hear that you ordered Natasha's new album. I believe it contains duets with Blake, Gardar Cortes and Alfie Boe but I don't know on which songs. Stephany

Hi Stephany Duets are:
The Prayer - Gardar Cortes Brindisi - Alfie Boe O Holy Night - Blake
Also, in her UK summer tour she is performing with Alfie Boe, Blake and Jonathan Ansell (but not all at the same venues). Pity you're not around to come to one.

Thank you Martin. I'm definitely going to order this album too! By the way, according to a recent article published by the Daily Mail, Natasha Marsh is able to hit the F6 note. Stephany

Hi Stephany and All My copy of this album arrived this week and I am highly delighted with it. My only one disappointment is that it contains five tracks which are also on Natasha's first album Armour. However, Natasha has said that this was always meant to be a re-package of Armour with several new recordings to coincide with the European Football Championship. My favourites are "Queen of the Night" (which will be familiar to all football fans), Prayer (a duet with Gardar Cortes) and Ai Giochi Addio which will be familiar to all us Hayley fans. There is also a duet with Blake singing "O Holy Night" (in the middle of summer ). Note that "Queen of the night" is not sung in F major even though I believe Natasha can reach F6. Another track on the album is the popular "O Mio Babbino Caro " which Hayley has also recorded (on Odyssey). Regarding Natasha herself I can see several similarities with our Hayley. Both are beautiful ( ), both can handle crossover (albeit in opposite directions) and both are down to earth human beings who appreciate their fanbase and loyal support. Lastly, Natasha also has a Forum but is nothing like this one in terms of activity and membership. But what I do find particularly impressive is that she occasionally records and posts video messages for her fans. You do not have to be an opera buff to enjoy this album, indeed I'm not, but it is a wonderful recording sung by a highly talented lady with a gorgeous voice. Martin

Hello Martin, Thank you for your review & comments on Natasha's new album. As you rightly mentioned, it contains tracks which are also on her previous album so I was also disappointed to discover that. Still, it is a very good album and I love the new recordings. Her Ai Giochi Addio is brillant. I remember that it gave me goosebumps all the way through when Natasha sang it live in concert. Regarding Natasha herself I can see several similarities with our Hayley. Both are beautiful ( ), both can handle crossover (albeit in opposite directions) and both are down to earth human beings who appreciate their fanbase and loyal support. I couldn't agree more, Martin. Natasha says that a common misperception of her is that she's aloof and unapproachable. Maybe it's opera is seen as glamorous or because she's quite tall, but it isn't the case at all. I've seen her twice in concert and I can assure you that she always makes time for everyone. She is absolutely lovely - in a similar way than Hayley is, actually. Lastly, Natasha also has a Forum but is nothing like this one in terms of activity and membership. But what I do find particularly impressive is that she occasionally records and posts video messages for her fans. You're absolutely right, Martin. Natasha posts occasionnally on her official forum but she also records video messages for us members! A couple of days ago she recorded a brand new message exclusively for forum users and it meant a lot to us (we're a very small group on her forum!). You can watch it here: tinypic.com/player.php?v=5lcjn5&s=3[/url] When I met her for the first time in Chester, I introduced myself as a fan from Paris and I quickly added that I was a member from her forum. Before I could add anything else, Natasha gave me a big hug and said 'oooooh hello Stephany, it's so nice to meet you! thank you so much for the support on the forum'. And then she spoke to me in French, haha. Anyway- as you can see, I've been clearly 'natasha-wowed'. Her kindness is impressive and she really is not bigheaded at all. She's very down-to-earth. Just like our Hayley! Stephany

Hi everyone Natasha Marsh is on the cover of Classic FM and I'm not sure but it looks as though we've already seen this dress somewhere. By the way, Natasha has recently announced that she is expecting her first child. Congratulations to her & Dobs! Stephany
