I am kind of surprised that NO ONE talks about her .
Lesley has contributed a huge deal to making light classical music more popular .
I mean even before Sarah or Charlotte start thier crossover career in the music industry , Lesley had already secretly started and led the trend .

And I am sure that Lesley is very famous in Britian .

She is not currently 'in the news' but doubtless will be soon and could provide an interference with Hayley's sales. Her new CD 'Falling in Love' is due out on the 5th February..

Of all the alternatives to Hayley, I rate Lesley as No.1, way ahead of KJ. As you say by implication, she is of course older and therefore more 'coasting' in her career. You also have to remember she is more an opera/stage-run person which takes her away from the recording crowd and related publicity.

Remember, she is currently the Mother Abbess in 'The Sound of Music' at The Palladium, running for quite a few weeks and has been for several weeks before Christmas.

I've just read a thread on another message board about Lesley Garrett funnily enough, it had a link to her official website with a short video about her new album. It sounded really great.
