Our latest adventure with Izzy!

We have another exciting instalment of our adventures with Izzy to share with you.

A few months ago Denise and I sat at home over a bottle of wine discussing a list of outstanding ambitions and No 1 for Denise was to see Izzy again and for it to coincide with a Greek Island cruise. Unbeknown to Denise my ambitions were very similar!
I knew Izzy was on the Celebrity Solstice between 1st July and 6th July so I Emailed her to check she would definately be there between those dates.
We had a two week holiday booked in Corfu covering that period so the next morning I tested Denise on how serious she was about seeing Izzy and would she change her holiday to Corfu. Normally I am confident enough to book surprises for Denise but this was just a little too radical a decision to take on my own. Anyway she agreed it would be very exciting so we changed our holiday to the Celebrity Solstice departing from Rome on 26th June.

Here is our ship - very luxurious!









Izzy joined the ship in Kusadasi, Turkey on 1st July. On that same morning we saw her pass by the pool with her mother, Jenny who we had met before in Spain. It was a wonderful moment when we met for the first time since we went to Spain about 3 years ago.
We had the most wonderful few days together, spending so much more time with Izzy and mum than we ever expected.
Izzy performed two stunning shows on Friday and again on Sunday. Her voice is so powerful and in our opinion is even better now than when she recorded her albums a few years ago.
Izzy invited us to her rehearsals each afternoon of the shows which was amazing! Sitting in the theatre just the two of us. We felt so honoured to be there. Particularly when she said she would be trying out a new song that she had not performed before for us to give our opinion! Well, it was Fields of Gold one of our all time favourites and was truly spine tingling. Denise had disolved already (only the rehearsal).
During her shows we sat with her very proud mum and there was definately more than a few tears shed.


We spent so much time together during those few days which we will never forget. Izzy is an amazing woman who has been through so much over the last few years. Luckily she is so much better now and ready to hit us all again very soon.
She is recording a new international album with Craig Leon which is due for release sometime next year.

We will certainly be at the NCH but we fly into Dublin on Monday morning so I think it will be difficult and a rush to get to the Limerick concert.

Her website simply refers to this as an International album.This sounds like a general release.I purchased her last album Izzy sings musicals directly from her and although it has a homemade look I found it truly wonderful.It came autographed and I think Izzy even wrote out the envelope!!.

Izzy has her album out now! She performed another concert in Spain on 1st Sept with Robin Hill. We so badly wanted to go but it was just too short notice to arrange. The concert included songs from the album "Cancion". and I gather that copies were available that night to have signed by Izzy and Robin.
