Hello Everyone I’m new to this forum but I have been a fan of Hayley since she first arrived on the international scene.
I first saw Hayley in concert in 2004 at the Bridgewater Hall on her “Pure Tour” and then more recently at Langholm on 20th September. Her performance at Langholm was excellent and I can add little to what has already been said in other reports. Hayley really was on top form, while the intimacy of the small venue made the evening so much more enjoyable.
I was also thrilled by the performance of Fiona Pears. Words like amazing and breathtaking come to mind but probably don’t go far enough to describe her performance. If you haven’t seen her yet - you must!
At the mid session interval, I took a walk outside by myself where it was cooler, and bumped into Fiona. She was also on her own and we chatted together for about five minutes. What a delightful young lady she is. After the concert I was absolutely thrilled to meet both Hayley and Fiona (again). I had my photo taken with each of them, and got Hayley to sign one of my CD inserts. I thought the concert was outstanding, but meeting the girls afterwards was the icing on the cake and made a wonderful evening even more special. It has left me with memories I will always treasure.
Les.
P.S. I’ve tried several times to register on Hayley’’s “Official Forum” [YaBB] without success. Has anyone any idea why this should be?

Hi Les A very warm welcome to our forum I would guess that you have looked in from time to time and decided - why not join I'm so pleased that you got to meet Hayley at your last concert, she is lovely isnt' she Was that the first time that you had spoken to her by the way ? I also prefer a smaller intimate venue to see Hayley perform. Quite a few people have reported difficulty in registering for the official website recently. I know that some major changes have been going on there. Its good to see you here and I look forward to your future posts. Best regards Mark

Hi Les/Cumbrian, and a very warm welcome to the forum from Central England. I will let one of the Admin. people help you sort out your problems with the 'Official' Forum, although I'm sure you will find everything you need to know about Hayley right here!!
Very pleased you got to meet Hayley after the Langholm concert, it certainly sounded like a splendid evening. She is quite amazing isn't she?
You may not realise that Fiona is also from Christchurch like Hayley and her and pianist Ian Tilley are regularly performing with Hayley. They do make for a fantastic performance, especially as Fiona has really started to excel more and more just lately.
I look forward to your future posts and, if you need any assistance finding your way around, just post your question and one of us will provide an answer.
Best wishes Grant

Hello Les, and welcome to our forum! I'm pleased you met Hayley and Fiona at Langholme, and now you know how many of us feel after a concert. I'm sure you will enjoy browsing through our concert threads, and we would all like to see your photographs if you can post them. As Mark says, many people have had problems registering with Hayley's official forum, but you may have better luck if you open an email account with Yahoo. Anyway, you won't miss anything if you keep an eye on HWI, and I'm looking forward to your future posts. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Les and a very warm welcome to the forum from me too! It's great to meet you - thanks for sharing your review of the Langholm concert. It looks as though you had a fabulous evening. But then how could you not with such talented artists? I also see that you are a very 'early' fan. How did you discover Hayley? I look forward to reading your future posts. Best wishes from Manchester, Stephany

Welcome Les!!
I look forward to your post. I also have not been able to sign up to the official forum, and with no help email there is no way to get it fixed and they probably don't even know how many people are being turned away. It is just poorly run and is a shame as it does not promote Hayley very well. Congrats on meeting Hayley, that is something many of us cannot do across the pond.

Best wishes from Manchester, Stephany Hello again, everyone. Many thanks for the warm welcome to your site. In response to your question, Stephany, I first “discovered” Hayley when I received a “freebie” CD of classical songs with “The Mail on Sunday” back in 2003. The track was Pokarekare Ana. I immediately fell in love with Hayley’s voice and found myself playing it over and over again. I then bought the CD, “Pure” when it was released, and shortly afterwards saw Hayley in concert for the first time in Manchester. On that occasion her younger sister Sophie sang with her, as did her even younger brother, Isaac. Hayley’s principal guest was Katherine Jenkins, another singer who I worship! I’ve seen Katherine four times and also met her in Langholm in August last year. I now have two photos which are amongst my most treasured possessions. One is of me with Katherine, and now I have one with Hayley. Les

Hi Les! Welcome to the forum! As I can read in your posts you're very "hayleywowed". i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif Thank you so much for your concert review. I had the same problem like you as I wanted to register at Hayley's official forum. But, like Richard said, a yahoo e-mail-address solved the problem. I have no idea why the official forum makes it that complicated? Anyway, as soon as there are some news about Hayley you can read them here on HWI. Thomas

Hello Les and welcome to THE forum! I am one of many who had difficulty in registering as a member of the official forum. As has been suggested, it is likely to be a problem with certain email addresses whose spam filters don't recognise the YaBB software. ProBoards forums have the same problem with AOL but there is nothing that we can do about it. By all means, try registering again with a different email address. If that fails, you know where we are. Come to think of it, even if you are successful, we will be here anyway! Like you, the first track I heard was 'Pokarekare Ana' but that was on the radio almost four years ago. How time flies when you're having fun! I look forward to your future posts. Best wishes, Roger

Hi again Des, Thank you for your detailed (or is it 'detai lled'? : response about how you discovered Hayley. Hayley’s principal guest was Katherine Jenkins, another singer who I worship! Then you are definitely at the right place! Some of us also appreciate Katherine a lot. I'm saying that because I'm one of them! I never had the chance to see her performing live but it's something I'd really like to do. Unfortunately her three upcoming shows in Manchester are already sold out. Oh, just in case you didn't know, I'm originally from France - not from the UK. Again, welcome to the forum and thank you for joining. Best wishes, Stephany

Hi Les, Welcome to 'HWI'... It's great to have you with us! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI hope you don't mind but I've copied your initial post into the "Buccleuch Centre Langholm, Sept 20/21" thread within the "Hayley In Concert" Board since a lot the infomation which you mentioned was relevant and very interesting for that thread too. I was delighted to hear that you were present at the same Langholm Concert as we were- what a night huh? Feel free to post up any of your Langholm photographs within that thread. If you need any assistance with that, just send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to help you! I look forward to reading your future posts too! Andrew
