I guess it never occurred to me to await Enya's music. Hopefully Hayley won't make us wait that long!  This new song is very lovely, very relaxing. Much more to my liking. |

I first came across Enya on an album called Fuaim, You can see the cover HEREEithne (Pronounced like Mount Etna with a h in the middle) is in the long chequered dress was about 21 years old in that album cover picture |

Thanks Taylor for reviving this thread, I'd forgotten how much I had enjoyed Enya's music, I even found a VHS cassette and her first few albums on 12 inch vinyl.
I'll give the samples a miss as I'm quite sure I will get this album around Christmas.
Thanks for the previous links, that was the first time I ever set eyes on Roma Ryan, what a pleasant surprise.

it was kind of difficult for Eithne to leave Clannad as they were her immediate family,
but certainly she wanted to head off in a different musical direction.
Enya's first album BBC 605 as you can see was on the BBC label.

I just got a 15% off Barnes & Noble coupon in my e-mail. Think I'll use it for this CD (unless Amazon's cheaper, which it sometimes is). Edit: Forget that! It's not out till November 20th here! I ordered the Mario CD instead. |

LOL It turns out I got mixed up with the date Mario's CD came out anyway! For some reason I thought Enya's was out now, too, but it was actually just Mario's. Oh well, I'm happy to get Mario's album soon, instead. Maybe Enya's will be for the next coupon. |
