BILLY GILMAN The first time I heard Billy was on the duet "Dream a Dream" with Charlotte Church. At the time I can remember thinking he was a cute little kid and he had a great voice but that's about as far as it went. Well, today I finally purchased my first Billy album, "Classic Christmas," and to be honest I purchased it more to hear Charlotte Church sing "Sleigh Ride" than for any of his songs. But Billy completely blew me away! He has the most incredible voice of any country singer I've ever heard, and I think its amazing for a voice so big to come out of anyone so smal! "Classic Christmas" has the perfect mix of traditional Christmas standards and popular favorites as well. |

Hi As everybody probably already knows I've been a huge Billy fans since he released his debut album, "One Voice." I actually started to listen to Charlotte Church after I heard the duet with Billy. The first CC CD I ever got was "Dream a Dream"...I got the others after the christmas that both CC and BG's christmas albums were released. I saw him in concert when his christmas tour came to Bangor and it was pretty amazing. He lives in New England (RI to be exact.) He is 17 now and after taking about 2 years off from his career because of his voice change he is back in full swing...lol. I have his newest album "Everything And More" it is pretty amazing!!! I love it to death...I also have some of his earlier CDs as well. I've made it a goal to someday perform with him...lol...it would be great fun. I heard him on CC's album too, and enjoyed his voice, but I didn't look further into his music. I'll make sure check out one of his albums soon. Is he a crossover singer? To Kristyn: I, too, hope your wish will get granted. Good luck! To Fusilier23: Congratulations on your 100th post!  |

Hang on, hold it, stop the music.... It's not your birthday yet so how come you're playing the CD already?  No, sorry, I don't have Billy's albums but then it's not my birthday. Er, oh yes, it is. Billy is now one of the two male artists I dream of singing with, (The other being Russell Watson) he's just a fabulous artist and entertainer! |

Hi Natasha, Billy did a music video a few years ago. It might have been the song 'One Voice'...actually I'm certain it was now. He was on a school bus and the video showed inspirational scenes...can't remember much more. Nonetheless it was an exceptional video! Oh, I can't resist... :birthday: have another piece of cake! Just to update this thread a bit... One of the really cool things about the video is that the girl in it looks almost exactly like Kristyn! Isn't that crazy? What's even weirder is that the girls name (in real life) is Christine! When I first heard Billy on CC's album I thought it was a girl! Either way, I liked the sound of his voice more than hers so I bought this album. That was over a year ago, but I was disappointed with the album. I think I sold it on. That's not to say he was rubbish or anything, lovely voice. I just don't like country |

Quoting one of Billy's songs... that's such a "shamey, shamey, shame!" lol. I was brought up on country!! Well, not to say that I love ALL of it, but I love Billy. Mostly because he doesn't sing from his nose like most country singers, lol.
