Hi everyone! I’m Andy, I’m a newbie to the forum site.
I would like to tell you when my love for Hayley’s music first began. Although I’d seen Hayley on TV over the last 2-3 years and thought she was really good, I became hooked around December 2006, when I just thought I’d listen to my wife’s ‘Aled Jones’ cd. On it he sang Silent Night, and a beautiful voice accompanied him, of course it was Hayley. I thought wow, what a voice! I just happened to mention this to my Dad and he said that he had got one of her cds, which turned out to be Pure. I played the cd and I was absolutely blown away. Pokarekare Ana was that awesome, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up!!
Anyway off I went, trailing around the shops for other cds and dvds, and then I came across this website. Although I have viewed HWI now for the last six months, I never actually logged on, until my wife and I met Grant at our first concert (at Gawsworth last Sunday) and he encouraged us to join in!
Hayley was fantastic, she has the voice of an angel (but you all know that anyway!) and she looked stunning (but don’t tell the wife ha ha!). We both had a wonderful time and now can’t stop playing her music around the house, in the car and at work. Even my 6 year old daughter has her music loaded onto her mp3 player! Hayley has made quite an impression in our house.
So I’m very pleased to have joined this forum, everyone seems so nice and friendly. I look forward to being involved and to seeing Hayley again very soon.
Best wishes Andy
PS Being an avid guitar player, I would love to play some of Hayley’s music, especially her version of “Both sides now”. So if anyone can point me in the right direction for the guitar music for her songs, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum, even though some of us have already welcomed you in reply to your earlier posts! It sounds to me as though you have been Hayleywowed. You are not alone; most of us have! Don't worry, there is no cure! There are existing threads about the two songbooks on their respective "Albums" boards. The direct links are: Not every song is included in the books but 'Both Sides Now' appears in the Odyssey songbook. I am not aware that a songbook has been published for Treasure. I hope you enjoy being a part of the forum and I look forward to your future posts. Best wishes, Roger

Hello Andy, and welcome again to the Forum! I'm slightly puzzled why you don't want us to tell your wife that Hayley's a stunner. She must have noticed that at Gawsworth Hall, so there's no point in trying to keep it a secret! I look forward to your future posts, and I hope to meet you and Vicki at a Hayley concert soon. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

Very pleased that you've shared it with everyone on the forum now too! You will find the music books available from Amazon:- PUREODYSSEYBest wishes Grant

I am also a new member. I have been a fan since the second time I heard the TV advert for Pure. Listening to Hayley has introduced me to Katherine Jenkins, Celtic Woman and a fantastic choir The Cantamus Girls Choir. But today I have realized, on reading this forum, that there is something more beautiful than the looks and voice of Hayley. That is the person inside. Her works for charity, her concern for others and her attitude to her fans stand her head and shoulders above most other performers. I have not yet seen Hayley live. I read the adverts for Celtic Woman and thought I would be seeing her at the Albert Hall. I now realize she will not be there but I will still attend. As soon as I see a confirmed concert that I can attend I will be booking. Perhaps I will see you there Andy. Like you I am constantly playing Haley Cd's if there is not one on our CD player there is one playing through my computer although I do also play the Live in NZ DVD or the Celtic Woman Live at Slane by way of a change. Two reactions to things I have read on the forum. 1) To Roger, If they find a cure, I for one don't want it. 2) If Hayley wants to learn all 100 verses to Danny Boy I will gladly listen. Regards to everyone on this wonderful site. JimG

Hi Jimg.
Now I know one thing for certain. I am not the oldest here! The remark goes back to Cardiff BBC Wales when through general chit-chat we decided to find out which of us present was the oldest. I think we settled that I was! So do join us at a live meeting soon so I'm not next time!
Look forward to hearing more about you. Peter S.

Hi Jim and welcome to this wonderful forum, I agree with every single word you just said Many of us are also going to the Royal Albert Hall to see Celtic Woman so we definitely hope to see you there! Where are you from exactly by the way? Just a thing, I think you were refering to 'Shenendoah' for the 100 verses and not to 'Danny Boy'. Best wishes from Paris, Stephany

Hi Stephany and Peter,
Thank you both for the warm welcome. Yes Stephany it should have been Shenandoah. As far as I am concerned though I would listen to 100 verses of either or both as long as it was Hayley singing. To answer you Peter I am a bit long in the tooth. The few I have left. I have grandchildren older than Hayley. I live in Kent in a village called Manston. If you know anything of the area it is between Margate and Ramsgate. The big problem with living here is that almost all venues mean an overnight stay. Still Stephany you must have bigger problems with concerts in England. Thanks again for the welcome Jim

I have been a fan since the second time I heard the TV advert for Pure. Why? What happened the first time? Hi Jim and a very warm welcome from neighbouring Sussex. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Hayley sang 100 verses of 'Three Blind Mice'; I am sure it would still be worth the price of a concert ticket. I hope you enjoy being a part of our merry band of Hayleywowed fans and I look forward to your future posts. Best wishes, Roger

Still Stephany you must have bigger problems with concerts in England. Hi again Jim, I am moving to the UK next September so it should be easier by then. I look forward to meeting you at one of Hayley's concerts! Best wishes, Stephany

Hi Roger,
Roger,
Thank you for the welcome.
I agree though my particular favorites are Lascia Ch'io Pianga, Pokarekare Ana. No I'll stop there or I will list them all. I have yet to hear one I do not like.
I was not very clear about the first and second time I heard/saw the advert. I was a fan after the first time just didn't know who of. The second time, later the same evening, I made sure I got the details.
Stephany, I look forward to the day we can meet at a Hayley concert.
Regards Jim

Hi Jim and a very warm welcome from Central England. There will be quite a crowd from HWI going to see Celtic Women at the Albert Hall, so we'll look forward to meeting up with you. Hopefully you'll get to see Hayley live before too long - you're in the right place to get all the necessary information as to what Hayley is doing. Even Hayley logs on occassionaly to find out where she has to be for her next concert! Best wishes Grant
