Calling all Sissel fans!
Prompted by a message today in Hayley's official forum, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for lyrics to Sissel's "Into Paradise" album that I know quite a few of us have bought. Lyrics are not included with the album and although some of them are available from her fansites and in other places on the Internet, they are not always correct. In particular, the following lyrics are incorrectly quoted in some places so I'll start the ball rolling with this one, I verified it by listening to the song!
Aria (Cantilena) from Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5
Melody: Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887-1956), 1938
Lyrics: Ruth Valadares Correa.

I wish Hayley had sung this middle segment with lyrics, I do not like it when chunks of songs are left out (albeit for obvious commercial reasons in this case). I love Sissel's *complete* version.
I know we don't usually like duplicating things but in this case, if anyone wants to repost here any lyrics they've already posted in other Sissel threads, I think it's OK to do so (so they can be found easier).
Cheers, Dave

Lo, at midnight clouds are slowly passing,
Rosy and lustrous, o'er the spacious heav'n
With loveliness laden.
From the boundless deep
The moon arises wondrous,
Glorifying the evening
Like a beauteous maiden.
Now she adorns herself
In half unconscious duty, eager, anxious
That we recognize her beauty,
While sky and earth, yea, all nature
With applause salute her.
All the birds have ceased their sad
And mournful complaining;
Now appears on the sea in a silver
Reflection, moonlight
Softly waking the soul and constraining
Hearts to cruel tears and bitter dejection.
Lo, at midnight clouds are slowly passing,
Rosy and lustrous, o'er the spacious
Heavens dreamily wondrous.
Rosy and lustrous, o'er the spacious heav'n
With loveliness laden.
From the boundless deep
The moon arises wondrous,
Glorifying the evening
Like a beauteous maiden.
Now she adorns herself
In half unconscious duty, eager, anxious
