Hi I am David McCormick and some of you may know me from Hayleys Official Forum as Dave McC. I first heard about Hayley a while ago when watching an episode of Billy Connollys World Tour of New Zealand and heard "Pokarekare Ana" being sung as Billy flew in helicopter over Aukland. Looked up song and hear Hayleys version. Since then I was hooked. I knew I would never go back. I used to be into rock, somewhat easy listening and R'n'B and rap and blues. Now I only listen to Country, rock (rarely) and Classical and blues. I used to not like classical, except song "O Mio Babbino Ciro" and now I see classical in a whole new light. Some could say I am a huge fan of Hayleys because since hearing Pokarekare Ana, a week later I had "Treasure" and "Odyssey" UK albums and then "Pure" with bonus VCD a few days later then got "Live in New Zealand DVD" and orderd "My Gift To You" Thats the fastest I ever spent money on a music artist. I have only one regret though. Not knowing she was in ireland until it was too late. I would do anything to hear her live and meet her. The first chance I get, I will not turn down. I am into wildlife photography and live in the country and this flared my intrests. I have a website on butterflies and moths I created which is here: www.davesleps.110mb.com and started this becuae I knew alot about them and loved photographing them. Love this site. Very good for information reguarding Hayley and I love the way the media player starts on home page. I probably won't be on here as much as her official forum, but expect to see me around.

Hello David and welcome to the forum. I believe you are the first member we have had from Northern Ireland so you have a lot of work to do to spread the word!
Thank you for telling us a little about yourself and I will certainly take a closer look at your website on moths and butterflies when time permits.
I hope you enjoy being a part of our Hayley community and I look forward to your future posts.
Best wishes, Roger

Welcome to the forum, David. Congrats for purchasing quite a lot of Hayley's CD's !
I had a look at your website and will check back for updates. It's quite reassuring to know that, in this world of hustle-and-bustle and modernisation, that good people such as yourself are keen to preserve and document the hidden world of the butterfly and moth. Good luck with your project.
Do visit us often, and am looking forward to your future posts!
Best regards from the USA, Joe

Thanks all. This site is big isn't it? Could look for ages and not see most posts. People come to Northern ireland and see sun. They think sun = heat. Usually thats right, but not always.
Seems like I will have a good time here discussing Hayley and things with her huge fan base.

Hi DaveMcc, A very warm welcome to the forum from Scotland! I've only been to Belfast myself to perform with a choir, although I've heard lots said about how beautiful Northern Ireland is. . Thats the fastest I ever spent money on a music artist. I have only one regret though. Not knowing she was in ireland until it was too late. I would do anything to hear her live and meet her. The first chance I get, I will not turn down. . I can promise you that you will always remember the first time you meet her, I hope it happens for you before long! Best wishes David

Hope I can meet her soon, but it looks as if it won't be this year. The second she comes to Ireland again, I will be there. Just so long as I know long enough in advance. Never wanted to meet a celeb as much as her before. Seems so down to earth, not your typical celeb. i'd move heaven and earth to meet her, but don't have the money to go to England to see her this year. Come back to Ireland and I will find you. Anway, Northern Ireland is nice, if you can find the beauty. Seems there are more heouses appearing everyday and the green beauty is slowly disappearing. Glad I live in a 1000 acre countryside which is protected from such things.
