Bedlam Management have advised that Hayley is highly unlikely to be involved in the UK and European Tour. Apparently the tour has been advertised without their knowledge and their is some doubt that it will go ahead at all. I will bring further details when known.

Thank you very much for the information, Roger! I wonder how the CW management is going to deal with this if both Meav and Hayley are unable to attend this tour. Cancellation? Stephany

I've just had a tot up and it looks as though there are currently 17 members/family/friends booked for the RAH so far mostly in the Arena area. So we are getting close to the numbers for Canterbury, but have a way to go to beat the 30+ gathering at St James, Piccadilly in September 2005. Did we really have over 30 people at St James'? Wow..! I know that we had quite a few people from outside of England there.. Susan and Taylor Kirk, Belinda and her daughter.. even the Hollyoakes came over from Wales That certainly was a fantastic evening! ~C

I still don't understand why the CW management keeps stating that Hayley will be part of the tour. Surely they must know that it will do a lot of bad publicity for them if Hayley isn't performing with the girls. Anyway, I am still looking forward to seeing Celtic Woman even without Hayley. Stephany

I still don't understand why the CW management keeps stating that Hayley will be part of the tour. Maybe they don't Stephany. It is possible that the venues do some basic research, discover that Hayley has been part of CW in the past and assume she will be included in the forthcoming tour. But you may be right, I just don't know. Roger

Believe me Roger, they do. John Flanagan from the CW management emailed me three days ago and told me Hayley would be part of the UK tour. I replied to ask him if he was 100% sure of it, considering that Hayley will be in France for the Rugby World Cup more or less at the same time. He never answered and I think it says it all. Unless he is VERY busy which of course could be possible. Or maybe because I sent him too many emails lately If someone wants to give it a try, his email is info@celticwoman.com (he usually answers very promptly!). I guess only time will tell what we want to know... Stephany

Hi Stephany! I asked Hayley about her appearance in the CW European tour especially for the concerts in Germany but it seems almost sure that she won't take part in any of those shows. I also asked her about some upcoming concerts in France but there isn't anything planned yet. But at least Hayley is now aware who you are. So the best is to go to a concert during your time in the UK. Thomas

This is starting to give me a rash....
The problem here Stephany is that this could be just as volatile (or worse) for Hayley as it is for Celtic Woman. This is merely a guess, but I strongly suspect that their management is much more agressive than Hayley's is - and may be playing a bit of hard ball here.
For example, if they feel that Hayley's participation is critical for the success of the tour (especially the UK leg of it - note how that advertisement is featuring Hayley with the involvement of the rest of CW as almost an afterthought), what harm does it actually do them to allow this information to "leak"? They can always cancel anything from individual venues to that entire leg of the tour, (or play to smaller crowds) and unless Hayley is very careful, maybe even make it look like it is somehow her fault.
The bottom line is that CW doesnt have an existing European profile and reputation to protect - and therefore have much more to gain and less to lose. Hayley, by contrast, has both - and therefore has less to gain by participating, but also more to lose if she doesnt, depending on how the story plays out in the media. The perception which I am afraid could be created is that she is mercenary - ie willing to work with CW when it benefits her, but unwilling to return the favor when the situation is reversed.

Steve A also mentioned this on Saturday. It would be a disappointment for the Albert Hall gathering but I am sure we will still make it a night to remember (assuming the concert isn't cancelled). Hi Jon I think your comments are very valid. The situation was briefly talked about at the Telford concert on Saturday and we made sure Steve Abbott was aware how some web sites are promoting this tour as being headlined by Hayley. I can understand the desire for CW management to have Hayley on the UK tour but just maybe they should have asked if she was available before arranging things!! Best wishes Grant

A seller on Ebay is offering two tickets for the CW Birmingham concert as headlined by Hayley. I took the liberty of sending him a PM about the uncertainty as he could end up with egg on his face. Grant I'm impressed!! Just had a look on Ebay and this item has been withdrawn Proves that we have some value in the community!! Best wishes Grant

It's unfortunate that she won't be here at those Germany concerts...do you still intend to go? I'm not too surprised about France's concerts but it's obviously better to hear it from Hayley's mouth. Many thanks again for asking, Thomas. My best chance is indeed to go to the UK. Thanks again & take care Stephany

As CW have nothing to lose by promoting Hayley as being a part of this, they can go ahead and do it. If, at a later date, they then say that Hayley will no longer be appearing with them, it will look as though she has pulled out. You can guarantee that CW won't say that she never intended to appear with them, and the general public will just assume that Hayley is in the business of pulling out at the last minute.. Could be a problem as far as her reputation is concerned. Stephany, As you said, your best bet is the UK.. plus we'll be there, which has to be good, right? ~Chris

I also agree with you, Jon. Thank you very much for the explanation! Chris, it is certainly a big bonus having you and most of the HWI team in the UK. Even if Hayley is not at the RAH, I still cannot waaaaait !! Great avatar, by the way! You look fabulous with Hayley! Stephany

Hello Stephany and everybody! It might be interesting to keep an eye on the Celtic Woman forums when Hayley's non-participation is confirmed. I wonder what the fans there will have to say? I'm also worried that Hayley's good reputation could be damaged by CW's management, so I hope the press won't stir it too much. Best Wishes, Richard
