SIGN-UP PROBLEMS ON AOL AND HOTMAIL
Please note: Many boards, in our case Proboards, have ongoing problems with AOL, Hotmail and some other e-mail client spam filters. This means the activation key, sent out to everyone before registration can be completed, is blocked and so never seen by the potential new member.
There is but one permanent way around this - sign up with a different email provider.
There IS an alternative, though this may not work in every case. BEFORE requesting your activation key, add the Proboards email address (*see below) to your PAB (personal address book). This will effectively make Proboards a "trusted address" and is a work-around we've often used in past cases.
Give it a try, and please let us know if it worked for you!
Neither HWI nor Proboards Staff have access to this key, which is randomly generated by the server, so we cannot help in this part of the sign-up process, apart from offering advice as above.
