Welcome to England and to London Caite! Richard's advice about traffic is timely, but also be aware of taxis and buses as they tend to drive in the gaps I'm sure you'll have a great time. Let us know what you're getting up to when you can, and hope to see you at an HWI 'gathering' before too long. Best wishes Grant

Hi Caite,
Let's sum this up. We drive on the wrong side of the road, buses drive in the gaps, we speak a peculiar kind of English compared to what you are used to, and our electricity supply is all wrong.
Welcome to merry olde England!

How cool spending your "gap year" in London! I remember talking to you in the CW chatroom, hello again Caite I can't really say welcome because I'm here in the states but I do hope you have a splendid time. It also looks like many other members have given you a warm welcome, how kind. Meldy

Hi Caite, 'Noticed your unusual name and wondered if it had Irish connections? 'Cait', without the -e is Irish for Catherine, Kate, etc. Your exciting news (and your nice photo) make me wish I was younger again. All the best in your journey of discovery. You're a long way from home. I'm on a new 'journey' too - a long way (in the opposite direction) from a gap year though! Still it's good to be 'young at heart'! Ireland is well worth a visit too. Both Ryanair and Aer Lingus offer cheap flights to Dublin from time to time. See www.ryanair.com or www.aerlingus.comYou might even consider the Hayley concert in Dublin on 13th June. I wish you success and fulfillment in your travels. Best Regards, Paddy

Hi Caite, 'Noticed your unusual name and wondered if it had Irish connections? 'Cait', without the -e is Irish for Catherine, Kate, etc. Hi Paddy! Yes, Caite is actually my nickname and it comes from Caitlin, and as you would pronounce it cotch-leen. Thanks Mark and Stephany about my 500 posts. I feel like I should be conduction an orchestra in a piece of music having now become a 'maestrina' <3 Caite
