Aled Jones marks the beginning of the Advent countdown to Christmas with a visit to Hexham Abbey.

Traditional Advent hymns including O Come, O Come Emmanuel and Hills of the North, Rejoice are sung by members of the Royal School of Church Music, currently celebrating its 80th anniversary.

I watched and recorded it, they were very good and looked stunning ion their bright red (crimson?) dresses - see below.

They sang The Angel Gabriel.

For anyone who doesn't realise, the guy who is introducing the programme is Aled Jones who is one of the Bedlam Management artists for whom we have a sub-board on this forum.

Hi Everybody,

I saw the programme and I thought that it was a lovely performance from the girls.

Also lovely seeing them wearing the red dresses too, (same/similar to Festival of Remembrance?) a bit of a change from the usual white and gave the performance more of a festive feel.
