Hi everyone, I've been doing chart updates at the AAI forum but hey, I thought I should do a quick summary here (you know me! ) In the first (leaked) official midweek album chart on Tuesday, Angelis and Katherine were at no. 5 and no. 6 respectively, with All Angels entering at no. 10. They are a fair way behind in sales at this point but I have reasons to think they are likely to be catching the other two as the week progresses and I think it will be very close by the end of the week. Hayley went up 5 places during her first week with "Pure" so fingers crossed for All Angels! At Amazon, it's currently: Katherine Jenkins ranked 13 All Angels ranked 14 Angelis ranked 15 The current classical crossover supremos - the big three - simply cannot get any closer! At iTunes it's: All Angels ranked 19 Angelis ranked 29 Katherine Jenkins ranked 39 All Angels are ahead for the very first time... this is getting interesting! Cheers, Dave

Quick update for those who don't visit AAI (the forum):Songbird has just entered the iTunes MAIN tracks chart for the first time, at no. 98. The album has gone up to no. 10 in the iTunes main album chart. All Angels have all the top 3 and 3 out of the top 5 tracks in the iTunes Vocal top 100. Every single track from their album is in the "Vocal" top 100. The album is up to no. 13 at Amazon. All Angels are ahead of Katherine Jenkins and Angelis at iTunes and Amazon... but not in the official midweeks charts. They are climbing (up from 10 to 8 since Tuesday) but are still a few places behind Katherine and Angelis... so there's some heavy album buying to be done in the next two days!!! This may help:All Angels TV Advert (from Emmerdale tonight) Cheers, Dave

Thanks for the news, Dave! The advert has terrific impact, and it's good to see Daisy playing the piano. Best Wishes, Richard

As well as playing album tracks, Classic FM are also using "Songbird" as background to the advert for their own 3 disc set.
I also like the TV advert. It portrays a superb image of the girls and who can fail to be attracted to their unique sound?
Keep on climbing girls - not far now!!

Hello again everybody! It will be very interesting to see what happens in the charts next week, because Mark Goodyer is playing All Angels on Radio 2 at about 6:20am, immediately after Pause for Thought. Yesterday he played Songbird, and this morning it was the Flower Duet. I'll be listening again tomorrow. Best Wishes, Richard

Hello again everybody! To update my previous post, Mark Goodyer played 'Pokarekare Ana' yesterday, and 'Windmills Of Your Mind' this morning. I'm hoping this airplay on Radio 2 will help All Angels to reach No.1 in the classical charts. Fingers crossed! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifRichard

A challange considering Katherine has just released her new album, and she gets a bit more publicity then a few tracks played on Radio 2! I'm rooting for the girls though, I think Katherine has been at the number 1 spot of the classical charts long enough now!

They are frustratingly close to getting ahead of Katherine, actually - but probably not quite close enough. One TV appearance... or a splash by their record company on one peak time advert... would probably be enough.
At Amazon, Katherine All Angels and Angelis have been swapping about in the rankings for a week now. At iTunes All Angels have been well ahead for over a week. The trouble is that Kathetrine and Angelis have better rack positions in the supermarkets (and two slots instead of one) so they are more visible. This seems to be enough to keep them just ahead.
Radio 2 definitely helps but it's early morning and what we really need is one well timed TV advert in Coronation Street!
And there is a new threat: Fron Male Voice Choir are likely to challenge All Angels in the next official pop and classical charts - they are getting a lot of publicity this week and are selling very well.
Cheers, Dave
