I have been building a collection of her music up and need advice what to get next. Here is what I have:
"Pure - Bonus 2 disc with VCD"
"Odyssey UK 2006 and Korean versions"
"Treasure UK"
"Live in New Zealand DVD"
iTunes - Treasure Video medly
Getting next:
"My gift to you" - Especially for "Somewhere Over the rainbow"
"Hayley Westenra"
"Pure with bonus christmas disc (I hope, if I can find it)"
"West Side Story"
Anyone know where to obtain her singles? I would like a few of those and I don't think I will be able to hear her original stuff from "walking in the air" will I?
Whats left to get?

Hi Davemcc, If you combine the list of the items you have with those which you intend to get, you will have most things covered. There are numerous versions of the three international albums around the world, each one of which might have the odd track which doesn't appear elsewhere. Apart from that, I would certainly advise you to get her biography entitled 'The World at Her Feet' by Paul Little and there are songbooks of Pure and Odyssey (but not Treasure as far as I know). No singles have been released in the UK. There have been three or four released in Japan. There is a comparitively rare item, the 'Wuthering Heights' mini album, that currently appears at hmv.co.jp for 1800 yen (= £7.30 approx). You won't be able to read the tracklisting (unless you understand Japanese!) but it is as follows: Wuthering Heights (new version) Pokarekare Ana (new version) Hine e Hine (acoustic version) Away In A Manger Never Say Goodbye I'm sure other members will come up with some more ideas for you! One song I have not yet heard is "The mummers dance"
Thinking of getting "Water is wide" promo. Whats on that?
Maybe I am spending just a bit too much latley, but want these.

I can't speak for the rest of the world but it was decided that Hayley would not try to break into the singles market here in the UK. I imagine that is because of the competition in the pop world which, for an artist who is generally considered classical, might have proved difficult.
A different version of 'Wuthering Heights' (mainly heavier on the percussion) was included on the American version of Pure, but nowhere else. I believe this is the one that appears on the mini album. And I think it is the vocalise version of Pokarekare Ana, but I would need to play it again to be sure!

Wonder why it costs alot. As soon as I get money on my card, I will see if its till avalialbe and get "Water is wide" hope I can, really!

Actually, fitst thing I am odering when i get money on card is probably "Water is wide" if still there. Then west side story.
Don't you just hate the so many different versions of albumns out there? Why is this so? It gets annoying to know that there is a song or video out there you have yet to hear or see.
Actually, do we have one here or do we need one? A list of every CD/DVD that Hayley made or has been on and the place it was released plus cover and titles and any information on it. Seems easier than having to search everywhere for the albumsn you may never find until you find its gone.
